DATE: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 27, 28 and 29, 2010
TIME: Applicants using laptop computers must be seated no later than 8:20 a.m. All
applicants must be seated no later than 8:30 a.m. There are two three-hour
sessions each day of testing. Additional information concerning the timing and
other administrative rules and policies are contained in a bulletin that will be
enclosed with the admittance tickets, which are mailed to applicants before the
examination.

California Bar Examination Fees:
General Applicants $556.00
Attorney Applicants $808.00

Laptop Computer Fee (Applicable only if using laptop computer) $125.00


Late Laptop Computer Fee $ 15.00

Late Filing Information


In addition to the application fee, all applications filed between the dates listed below must be
accompanied by a late filing fee:

April 2, 2010 – April 30, 2010 $ 50.00


May 1, 2010 – June 15, 2010 $250.00

Withdrawal Refund Policy


Requests to withdraw from the July 2010 California Bar Examination must be received by the
State Bar’s Office of Admissions on or before the dates listed below in order to qualify for a
refund.

May 3, 2010 (30 days after timely filing deadline) 60% refund
May 17, 2010 (45 days after timely filing deadline) 30% refund

The transfer of fees from one examination to another is prohibited.

Refunds requested due to hospitalization, death or call to active duty will be considered in
accordance with the Committee of Bar Examiners’ refund policy. Copies of the policy and forms
to request a refund and withdrawal from the examination are available online at
www.calbar.ca.gov/admissions.

Release of Results

Results from the July 2010 California Bar Examination are scheduled to be mailed to applicants
on Friday, November 19, 2010. Access to the pass list will be available on Friday, November 19,
2010 at 6:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) to applicants through the State Bar’s home page at
www.calbar.ca.gov. Applicants will need their File Number and Applicant Number as shown
on their admittance tickets and ID badges to access the pass list.

Beginning Sunday, November 21, 2010, at 6:00 a.m. (Pacific Time), the pass list will be available
to the general public on the State Bar's home page. Beginning Monday, November 22, 2010, at
8:45 a.m., pass list information will be available over the telephone through the State Bar's Los
Angeles and San Francisco Admissions offices. Pass lists will also be available for viewing in
both offices.

Admission ceremonies for successful applicants who have met all requirements for admission at
the time results are compiled will be held in December. Information regarding dates and locations
will be published at the time results from the examination are released.
