Opening Day Sunday, August 17


Parking on Campus on Sunday, August 17
When you arrive on campus, members of the campus community will direct you to parking on campus and in
nearby locations. Wheelchair accessible and special needs parking will be available in the East Campus Garage
(next to the University Center).

Room Key Pick-Up


There are four locations for residence hall key pick-up on Sunday, August 17: Morewood Gardens, Doherty
House, Donner House and Rodef Sholem Synagogue which is located at 4905 Fifth Avenue. Key pick-up will
be open from 9am until 2pm. on Sunday, August 17. If you arrive after 2pm. go to the first floor of Morewood
Gardens E-tower to obtain keys and Orientation materials. Orientation Counselors and Resident Assistants as
well as members of the Housing and Dining Services staff will be on-site and available in various halls to assist
you while moving in.

Contact an Assistant Director of Enrollment Services in The HUB for
information regarding: the financial aid application process, financial need
analysis determination, financial aid programs, student and parent loans, student
account payment plans, enrollment/financial aid questions, PlaidCa$h accounts,
academic and financial aid forms. The Assistant Directors are available
to assist you with all of your enrollment needs.

Representatives from local banks are available to answer questions and
help you set up new accounts. Please note that PNC Bank has been
selected as Carnegie Mellon preferred banking partner. Students with a
PNC account can link it to their Carnegie Mellon ID card, which will
then function as an ATM card.

Here you'll find everything from organic treats to laundry detergent. You
can find snacks, fruit, candy, juice, soft-drinks, water, microwaveable meals
and personal products. Most importantly, there is a coffee bar!

Please come in and explore the Carnegie Mellon Bookstore. We're here to
serve you offering textbooks and class supplies, sweatshirts and--most
importantly—house supplies! Also visit the computer area to purchase specific
networking supplies such as pass-throughs, wired or wireless Ethernet cards,
cables, software or peripherals.

Get to know your house staff and community by participating in
activities and discussions. Designed to acclimate you to your new
campus home, this day will be both informative and fun.

opportunities for making your unique mark on Carnegie Mellon University.

‘Community Collage’
The Community Collage is an exciting presentation by your fellow
students of their experiences, personal reflections and cultural
performances which all help to shape the diversity of the Carnegie
Mellon community. The Community Collage will allow you to gain a
foundation for dialogue, cross-cultural and cross-community interaction,
as well as a sense of the respect and appreciation for cultural differences
within our community. The talents and stories of our students will
