MEDIA OF COMMUNICATION

The radio has been the very first device to allow for mass communication. It has
enabled information to be transferred far and wide, not only nationally wide but
internationally as well. Twenty years ago, Radio was discovered by electrical engineer
from Italy. His name is Guglielmo marconi. He also used to got nobel award. When he
was twenty years old, After he read the experiment from Henrich Hertz that have been
done several years before, he started his own experiment. The experiment was
demonstrated the exsistences of electromagnetic waves which is cant be seen by human
eyes and moving trough the air with the velocity of sound. After worked very hard for
one year, Macroni succed producing the prototype of radio. In 1901, he also succed send
the message or news by using radio passing the Atlantic ocean from England to
Newfouland. In the past era, the user of radio mostly is mariner. They used radio for
sending a message by using morse code. Radio usages before world war is for detecting
the location of an airplane and ship. Nowadays, there are so many kind of radio. Before
the television as famous as now, the drama, comedy , news, and any kind of show was
broadcasted in radio.
Letter is a media of communication to extend the written information. People use
letter because it is very affordable. But, nowadays, only a little bit people who is still use
it because it will take so much time to send it.
Telegram is a media of communication to extend the information fastly and
accurately. Telegram has some advantages such as, it is able to send long distance
message and there is no more additional cost when we use it. But, telegram also has some
advantages such as, the price of telegram is expensive and you should understand the
symbols and codes before you use it.
Television is a media of communication that has a fuction as the receiver broadcast
of a picture, sound or even the video. Television is more attractive than other
communication media because it has coulored interfaces. But, television a bit more
expensive than others.
Newspaper is media of communication that has a specific purpose as a layout of
many kind of information. Newspaper is a very affordable communication media and it
also could re-read it everytime. But, newspaper little bit not interesting because it lack of
colour.
Magazine also kind of communication media. Magazine little bit similar with the
newspaper but it is more attractive because magazine contains of the information and
every information must be showed together with the illustration such as a picture that
related with the information.
Handphone is a media of communication that use an electrical signal to send a text
message or even voice message. There are so many handphone user in this world because
we can use it everywhere and everytime. But, beside you have to buy the handpohone
you also have to pay an additional cost when you send a message.
Internet is a global system of every connected network all over the world. The user
being able to got a lot of information and doing many kind of communication such as
chating, calling, or even buying something on the internet. But, there is no filter for bad
things on the internet so it is little bit dangerous for children whitout the control from
their parents. Our personal privacy also could be hacked by someone because the security

system on the internet was not good enough so far.

Every communication media has its own advantages and disadvantages. So that, if
you want to use one of communication media make sure that you have knew the function
of that media. And, for the parents, they should have to give an extra attention to their
children for avoiding their children from the bad impact from every kind of technology.
