clearly mentioning the group members names.
4. Please make sure that each member of the group has

before
making
the
submission. A viva-voce may take place on a random
manner.

5. A cigar company wants to promote the sales of its cigar brand with a special
advertising campaign. Forty out of every thousand cigars are rolled up in gold foil
and randomly mixed with the regular cigars. The company offers to trade a new
pack of cigars for each gold cigar a smoker finds in a pack. What is the probability that
buyers will find 0,1,2,3,4.10 gold cigars is a single pack of 10?
6. The income of a group of 10,000 persons was found to be normally distributed with
mean = Rs. 750 per month and standard deviation = Rs. 50. What was the lowest
income among the richest 100?
7. In an intelligence test administered to 1000 students, the average score was 42 and
standard deviation was 24. Find the number of students exceeding a score of 50. Also,
find the value of the score exceeded by the top 100 students.
