Proposal (20%)
The objectives

Students will learn to prepare a formal report using the appropriate format
Students will learn to work in a group to complete the assignment task.
Students will learn to communicate effectively within the group members

The task
Form a group consist of 5 members from your tutorial class. Propose a community
project that you can organise at UCSI University. The target participants in your
community project are the students of UCSI University. The community project
activity should be aimed to teach the target participants to learn a new knowledge or
expand their existing knowledge. In addition, you are also keen to share your
knowledge and skills that you feel will be interesting for the students to learn. The
knowledge sharing can be range from academic help, personal growth or hobbies.
You are required to document your proposal for the community project. The following
guideline will be helpful to prepare your proposal:1. Profile of students organisation

a. Describe about the proposed activity
b. Reasons for this project
c. Objective of this project (S.M.A.R.T objectives)
d. Target group
e. Reasons for choosing the target group and how they will be identified

3. Process to be followed to achieve the objective
a. Flow chart to organize the activity
b. A Gantt chart to show your deadline
4. Resources required for the activity
a. Resources: finance, transport, people and others

Submission guideline
Hardcopy submission. Only stapler bind or comb bind.
Type using Times New Roman; font size 12.
Using headings and subheading sparingly.
Number all the pages.
Use the standard cover page template in Appendix 1 for your submission.

Presentation Guideline (10%)


All students must work together to implement the proposed plan. You are required to
organize the community project then present the outcome of your project in the
class. Prepare your presentation and all group members must participate to present
the outcome of the community project. In your presentation, you are required to
include:

Brief introduction about your plan


About the organising members and their background/roles
The objectives of your community project tasks
The work process to complete the task
About the participants and their background
Measurement and final outcomes
The groups experience to organize the project

Include photographs and videos of your activity in your slide. Besides the content,
your presentation style also will be evaluated.

Guideline for the presentation


Prepare a presentation for 10 minutes.
Limit to 12- 15 slides only.
Teams must prepare their own laptop and speakers to use for their presentation
purpose. Teams also can bring other necessary materials that are useful for their
presentation. However, the VGA cable will be provided.
Attire: formal office wear. Avoid colourful ties. Avoid miniskirts. Use leather black/
brown belt. Overall dress to impress!

Tentative dates for presentation: October 5, 2015 (5-6.30p.m.) & October 7, 2015
(6.30-8p.m).
