The purpose of this study is to provide safety and general welfare of the passengers,
ensure compatibility of the terminal design and the use of green technology for the structure.
Specifically, this study seeks to answer the following objectives:
1. To document the technical specifications of the design in terms of:
1.1 Input
1.2 Process
1.3 Output
2. To determine the acceptability level of the designed project in terms of:
2.1 Structural Design and Analysis
2.2 Economy and Estimates
2.3 Construction Methodology
3. To present a miniature model of the proposed terminal.
Assumptions
Following input, process, and output approaches, the researchers assume the following:
1. The structural designs of the terminal were based on the National Structural Code of the
Philippines 2010.
2. The construction materials to be used would be economical considering building code
standards.
3. An alternative power source is utilized through the use of solar power system which is an
economical one but higher efficiency and greater durability.
Bus & Jeepney Operators. To have a safe and convenient bus terminal for the proper
loading and unloading of passengers. Also to have an easy access for the nearby residents of the
Municipality of Placer to the bus terminal.
Passengers in Surigao del Norte. Lodging houses are intended for the safety of the
passengers who stay overnight at the bus terminal.
LGU. The study serves as preparatory practice for the design and construction of the
building and helped them widen their knowledge in their field.
Businessmen. The study serves as preparatory practice for the design and construction of
the building and helped them widen their knowledge in their field.
Researchers. The study serves as preparatory practice for the design and construction of
the building and helped them widen their knowledge in their field.
The researchers study covers the following bounds. These include structural design and
analysis, building design, electrical lay-out, plumbing lay-out, site development plan, solar
power systems, road safety assessment, and total estimated project cost needed in the proposed
Integrated Terminal.

Introduction
Topic
Passenger in
global setting; air,
sea, land
A terminal is a structure where city or intercity buses stop to pick up and drop
off passengers. It is the point where a bus route starts or ends, where vehicles
stop, turn or reverse, and wait before departing on their return journeys. Its also
where passengers board and alight from vehicles. It also often provides a
convenient point where services can be controlled from.
Terminal
Bus stations and terminals are a significant element in the operation of bus
amenities; air, sea, services. Their design and location affect the efficiency of a transport system,
land
and its impact on other road users. Some stations are regarded more as
landmarks than as utilities, and as such are often of prestigious rather than
practical design, which may detract seriously from their efficiency.
Land based
terminals
Local bus services in many towns and cities are centered on bus stations. Often
there are large stations in the central area, with smaller ones at the outer ends of
the routes. There may also be intermediate stations, especially at points where
many passengers interchange between different bus routes, although most
intermediate passengers on urban services board and alight at roadside bus
stops.
The Municipality of Bad-as Placer, Surigao del Norte is in need of a public Bus
Terminal to secure the safety of the passengers since they do not have a proper
area for the loading and unloading of passengers.
Rationale of the
study and its
contribution to the
study of
knowledge
The major purpose of this study is to create a project that develops a new
junction of urbanization, to create a centralized avenue for transporting people
to desired places, to initiate progress in the municipality, to address the needs of
people regarding travel, thus, providing a convenient and accessible permanent
layover readily available for public operations in an alternative transportation
route and more importantly, a project that intends to give service to human
welfare and promote social reform.
