Question 5: How necessary is a university for an individuals future prospect?

University is a place where students can pursue their tertiary studies to obtain a
degree or a master .There are thousands or millions of students that enter university to
pursue their studies. There are some high ranking universities such as Cambridge , Oxford,
Stanford or even Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) which students would strive
harder to enter those top notch Universities. Universities provides a learning environment
which empower students to reach their potential limits. So, it is true that university is
necessary for an individuals future prospect.
University has become a platform where graduates from universities could obtain a
good carrier in life. University is indeed important for students to get good education and
henceforth, get a better jobs. This is because, by obtaining a degree will gives you a
competitive edge over those who dont. So, it could a major benefits to a degree holder to
secure a job in real life. Moreover, we cant deny that to obtain a degree or master from a
university takes a long time. But University graduates which gain professional qualifications
that are recognised and respected worldwide will be often offer good jobs and higher paying
salaries. This will automatically proves that a degree or master holders from university will
have a better financing status than those who have lower qualifications. As the saying goes,
Rome was not built in a day. So, University is by far a vital medium for students to find a good
job with good pays.
It is indeed true that university is necessary for one future prospect. University
could provide an environment where students can establish professional connection.
University is where students could meet new acquaintances and mentors which could help
them in their future needs. University life is a right place and time where students could build
up their large adult network. On top of that, students could also meet up inspiring academic or
co-curricular lectures and staffs which could guide them in their respective fields. This is an
advantage for students to know more about the fields of course they are interested. Students
could have a deep understanding about the course and directly put more interest and effort
on the course they interested.
University is also a place where students learn new things and discover their own
passion. University actually expose students to new researches and technology. This could
give students to experience and invent something new that could be applicable in daily life.
Critical thinking skills will be taught to students and applied to solve problems. This is an
important steps which students could learn how to be independent and show some creativity
in their life. Through university, Students have the chance to travel and experience life
overseas by joining study aboard programs usually organised by universities. This is the time
when students could understand other culture and learn some new languages. In fact,
Students could also learn new technology that have been applied to some of the modern
countries. University is definitely a place where students could learn new things which could
be apply in their daily life.

In contrast, University has its own weaknesses. Universities usually devote too
much in education purpose. This is because students need to pass their examination in order
to obtain their degrees. As a consequence, student tend to focus more on their studies than to
think critically, especially in the area of problem solving and solution-finding. Students which
focus more on studies will also have lack of communication skills as students are not trained
to communicate with others in Universities. In fact, some people can be successful without
focusing too much on studies. They just need to follow their passion towards their interest. It
is indeed true that education could be hard for someone as their goal of life is towards
something else. As a conclusion, University does not guarantee successful life to students as
students need to strive hard to archive their dreams. Whatever the mind of man can conceive

Although University bring lots of benefits to peoples life. Students should not only
depends on University for their future. Student should have their own responsibility to develop
themselves. Students should embed good qualities such as perseverance by completing
tasks and responsibilities consistent and persistently. Student should also have good time
management by having a daily planner and making a schedule. Besides, Parents plays an
important roles to ensure their child successful future. Parents should be a role model to show
