4.1 OVERVIEW

I n t h e c a l i b r a t i o n procedure t h a t f o l l o w s , the o u t p u t c u r r e n t o f
t h e LDX-3207 i s determined by measuring t h e v o l t a g e d r o p across a
shunt r e s i s t o r and then c a l c u l a t i n g the c u r r e n t u s i n g Ohm's Law
(I=V/R).
A l t h o u g h t h i s procedure i s more cumbersome than d i r e c t

out t h e d e c o r a t i v e p l a s t i c i n s e r t s l o c a t e d on t h e sides o f the f r o n t
bezel.
Removal of these i n s e r t s a l lows access t o t h e f o u r f r o n t
panel r e t a i n i n g screws.
There a r e t w o o f these screws on each side
o f t h e bezel.
On each side they a r e l o c a t e d above and b e l o w two,
l a r g e r f l a t head screws.
Once t h e f o u r r e t a i n i n g screws a r e
removed, the f r o n t panel may be p r e s s e d o u t by p r e s s i n g on t h e back
o f the f r o n t panel c i r c u i t b o a r d ( t h e t o p cover must be removed t o
a l l o w access t o t h i s c i r c u i t board).
