A Shepherds View
In our First Reading, Paul and Barnabas are undeterred by the
hostility that they have faced, and continue to preach the message
of Christ throughout the region. Note that they appoint leaders for
the regional churches, and also that they are humble enough to
remain accountable to the Church of Antioch from which they are
sent. In our Second Reading, John culminates his dream of the
New Jerusalem in which all will be wonderful, beautiful and
holy. Our Gospel speaks about how we get there.when we love
one another!
This reminds me of that famous song, they will know we are
Christians by our love,,,,,, (I bet your humming it now!) Its so
true here at Good Shepherd ANCC!! Its AMAZING to see how
you love your Church, how you LOVE one another, and how you
love to share the joy of the Risen Jesus to all that you live with,
work with and encounter,,,,no matter what may come!!
Lets continue to be the Easter People of the Lord! Whenever
hostility, illness, harm, rejection, or anything negative is met, may
we embrace our life-long journey to the New Jerusalem by loving
one another; sharing the Good News that Jesus is still
ALIVE.and where???..............
