let me introduce myself.
I can’t remember a day when I didn’t love to draw. I was fortunate to have parents and three
older siblings who encouraged me to recognize and nurture my talent. My pencils and papers
came with us wherever we went. At age eleven, I was accepted into an arts elementary school
that had a strong integrated arts program. It was there that I realized that the artistic world was
where I belonged.

In high school, the co-op program placed me with Sandylion Stickers where I was thrown into a
completely new environment - design. I worked with a team of graphic designers and illustrators

and was instructed to learn Adobe Illustrator on my own time. The task came naturally to me and
for a long while, it was all I could think about. I ended up working at Sandylion Stickers for years
designing everything from stickers to package designs and preparing all the mock ups. Needless
to say, my love for drawing was superseded by a passion for graphic design.

A diploma at George Brown College in graphic design was the next logical goal for me. Through
the skills I acquired at Sandylion Stickers, I began college with more experience than most of my
peers. This provided me with the skills to tutor students in Illustrator class and sit on the executive of

our Social Committee. In my final year, I was selected as “Top Ten” student and had my portfolio
displayed at the Design Exchange Toronto show – a most unforgettable honour.

Since graduating, my work experiences have been plentiful and diverse. I returned to work
in-house at Sandylion Stickers and then in several art departments including Oxygen Magazine
and Please Mum (retail children’s clothing) where I was responsible for everything from layout to
illustration to creative concepts. I have had the chance to work in team environments and on my
own and have learned from and enjoyed both settings.

After spending an inspiring year backpacking throughout the Middle East, South East Asia and
Australia, I decided to try freelancing. Working with different companies has challenged me to
expand and develop my skills. From create illustrations for household items to designing brochures,
labels, logos and other products. For my latest venture, I teamed up with my sister and started an
online paper product company (www.studiofivethree.com) specializing in note cards, gift tags,
stickers, labels, art and more.

I look forward to the next chapter down this creative path. I seek something brimming with new
challenges, new faces and new adventures. Maybe it’s something about my outgoing personality,
my youth, my travels, my love for adventures... It’s time to try something new!

with a french design studio & myself to create modern collections
While working with the marketing team at Sandylion Stickers, I had the opportunity to design
everything from stickers, rub-ons, albums to packaging. Many of the sticker designs that I display
here are my own illustrations. I was given a few scrapbooking paper designs, a theme, the
substrate and very few limitations.
It was a designer’s dream assignment.

This product is nothing new, it’s part of an ongoing trend. HomeDepot gave
Sandylion a specific space to work with and we had to create packaging to fit.
This product could be hung or placed in a teir type system and the info and
product info would be easy to read and find.
BLACKJET INC & SIGNATURE DEVELOPMENTS
a full service brand consulting and advertising agency
Five great guys make up this fun, young and really talented agency. So when I was asked to work
in-house on full time contracts, I couldn’t resist. My work spanned from brochure designs (for a local
development company) to logo concepts, signage, ad designs and to providing creative input. I
have never worked in a more positive and inspiring environment.

BOGUEART ENTERTAINMENT
an independent music label in Vancouver
This project allowed me to brand a company with a few logos and
an overall look. I knew the company well, appreciated their style
and was inspired by their music, art and shows. They loved the end
product so much that, five years later, it can still be seen all over
downtown Vancouver and parts of Toronto.

THE LOLA STEIN
INSTITUTE JOURNAL
The Lola Stein Institute concentrates on the content and delivery
of the best education. The goal is to document and share the
Institute's integrative materials for all educators and students.
THINK is a quarterly journal published by the Institute and widely
distributed. As the sole designer of the THINK journal, my
mandate is to enlighten the reader by telling a visual story.
Behind the scenes, I have slowly moved the coeditors outside of
their comfort zone to adopt a less conservative design, in line
with the school’s approach to learning and they love it.

At Please Mum, the projects always started with a theme. Something
as simple as “fun and water”. Then, it was off to the drawing board. I
enjoyed having total creative freedom to go full steam ahead with my
ideas and creations. I designed and illustrated everything from patterns
used for fabric, embroidery, screens, labels, patches and more.

Nature Clean’s design work is always varied. From updating their labels to
designing signage, ads, sell sheets and creating informational booklets. We
are currently working on a logo and packaging for a new line. It’s nice to

stores. These are the illustrations that they have chosen from a selection of styles. The direction I was
illustrations for custom dishes given was snowmen and reindeer. They provided their own colour pallet.
