Course Title: Testing Coordinators Using Technology to Create a Reduced Paper Testing
Environment.

Course Description: This learning module will introduce testing coordinators to using
technology to create online examiner training sessions, online training verification, online
materials checkout and reduced paper security and testing logs. Testing coordinators will
also be introduced to data collection and storage practices to analyze and organize strand
data to improve course content delivery and increase student mastery. Testing coordinators
will be introduced to repository practices to distribute key testing information to examiners.

Course Learning Objectives:

At the

conclusion of this module, testing coordinators will be able to:

create an asynchronous training presentation for examiners.
allow examiners to verify training through a digital verification checkoff form.
allow materials to be checked out through a digital check out form.
create a materials return system that reduces paper in the secure testing log.
create a system of data collection and storage for use in course content analysis.
create a central repository for materials and information relating to testing such as
proctor schedules, testing schedules, testing locations, formula sheets, etc.

Professional Standards
ITSE Standards for Administrators
4. Systemic improvement Educational Administrators provide digital age leadership and
management to continuously improve the organization through the effective use of
information and technology resources.
a. Lead purposeful change to maximize the achievement of learning goals through the
appropriate use of technology and media-rich resources b. Collaborate to establish metrics,
collect and analyze data, interpret results, and share findings to improve staff performance
and student learning c. Recruit and retain highly competent personnel who use technology
creatively and proficiently to advance academic and operational goals d. Establish and
leverage strategic partnerships to support systemic improvement e. Establish and maintain
a robust infrastructure for technology including integrated, interoperable technology
systems to support management, operations, teaching, and learning.

Module Activities
1. Use a presentation application such as PowerPoint, GoAnimate, PowToons or Video to
outline the parameters, security procedures, expectations and rules to a standardized
testing session such as the Georgia Milestones EOC or EOG for examiner training.

2. Use a synchronous delivery tool such as Adobe Connect or Blackboard Collaborate to

host the test examiner training session.
3. Use an online form such as Google Forms to create a legal digital signature for
examiner training verification.
4. Use an online form such as Google Forms to create a legal digital check out of testing
materials.
5. Use a central spreadsheet created by the responses to the Google Form (#4) to
check materials back in. Print the form for verification in the testing log as well as
save to the digital notebook.
6. Use a digital notebook (secured based on the policies within the district) such as
OneNote to house and organize strand data for the standardized testing session.
7. Use a collaborative site for hosting testing general information such as proctor
schedules, testing schedules, testing locations, formula sheets, etc.

Course Assignments

online examiner training.
2. Determine the method of delivery- Synchronous or Asynchronous
i.
Adobe Connect and Blackboard Collaborate will be introduced for synchronous
collaboration.
ii.
Discussion board or email may be used for asynchronous collaboration.
3. Creation of Google Forms for Legal Digital Signatures.
i.
Training verification
ii.

4. Identify the secure digital notebook site for use with strand data analysis (One Note
will be utilized)
i.
Google Spreadsheets can be used, however, all data will need to be coded
without the use of student name or student numbers.
5. Create a repository for all materials relating to a testing session such as schedules,
locations, companion documents and formula sheets.
i.
D2L Module within the Teacher Resource Center will be utilized.

Course Evaluation:
