EDUCATION INTERNSHIP
This education intern will work closely with the museum educator to facilitate the
conceptualization, research and development for the following: 1) gallery talking
points for docents and the public 2) public programming for families and adults 3)
assist with developing content for upcoming exhibitions 4) preliminary content for
curriculum development 5) training sessions for docent training. The intern will also
provide support to various inter-department projects and activities to deepen his/her
understanding, experience and knowledge of day-to-day museum operations at CAM.
QUALIFICATIONS
These internships are available for currently enrolled full-time undergraduates who are
members of underrepresented groups (individuals of African American, Asian,
Latino/Hispanic, Native American, and Pacific Islander descent) in professions related to
museums and the visual arts. Candidates considering a career in museums are strongly
encouraged to apply, but candidates from all areas of undergraduate study are welcome.
Excellent verbal and written communication, research skills and computer literacy are
strongly desired. Students who are enrolled in a second BA or BS program are not
eligible.
