Chandra Dhandapani,
Senior Vice President and Divisional

As Senior Vice President and Divisional Chief
Information Officer for Capital Ones Financial
Services Division, Chandra Dhandapani and her
team are responsible for supercharging the Auto
and Home Loans businesses through the use of
technology. Theyre on a quest to transform the
way auto and home financing occur through both a
data and digital transformation. In addition,
Dhandapani is responsible for leading the divisions
digital transformation as a whole. Leading her team
with a forward looking approach has led to industry
recognition including being honored with a CIO
Ones to Watch award for 2014.
Dhandapani joined Capital One in December 1998.
Capital One Financial Corporation, headquartered
in McLean, Virginia, is a diversified bank that offers
a broad array of financial products and services to
consumers, small businesses and commercial
clients. A Fortune 500 company, Capital One has
one of the most widely recognized brands in
America. As one of the top 10 largest banks based
on deposits, Capital One serves banking customers
through branch locations primarily in New York,
New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana, Maryland, Virginia,
and the District of Columbia.
Dhandapani previously served as Vice President of
Customer and Funding Operations for Capital One
Auto Finance where she was responsible for
servicing a $20 billion portfolio. Prior to that, she
was Vice President of Marketing and Analysis for
Capital One Auto Finance. In this role, Dhandapani
developed product strategy, pricing and valuations
for a $4 billion Direct to Consumer Auto Finance
business.

Dhandapani began her career at Capital One in the


Information Technology department for the Auto
Finance division where she was responsible for
technology delivery, project management and
architecture.
Before coming to the US in 1997, Dhandapani
served as a Client Services Manager for a large
advertising agency. In that role, Dhandapani led the
advertising strategy for a leading national brand of
consumer durables in Bangalore, India. Prior to
that, she led a World Bank program promoting the
development of the silk industry in India.
Dhandapani obtained her first MBA in Marketing
and Finance while in India and her second MBA in
Information Systems from the University of Texas
at Arlington.
As a Dallas transplant, Dhandapani serves her
community in various ways, one of which is by
serving on the board of Girls, Inc. of Metropolitan
Dallas. She enjoys spending time with her
husband, a technology entrepreneur, and their son.
