Team Accomplishments and Standings
FIRST World Championships in Atlanta
Team 440 moved from being on the wait list to having a spot in Curie Division. Teams 903, 3002, and 3115 accepted the
invitation to join Team 440 as the MEZ All Stars. They practiced, traveled, and competed as one team, finishing 53rd in
the 85 team Curie division. Thanks to Detroit Public Schools, Jeanne Murabito, Chuck Hutchins, Ray Pittman and the
University of Michigan for providing money for transportation, hotel, and meals.
2010 Season Summary
13 MEZ Teams each competed in 2 District Events.
4 MEZ Teams received Judged awards (Imagery and Judges special award).
5 MEZ Teams nominated mentors for the Woodie Flowers Award.
2 MEZ Teams prepared Chairman’s Awards.
11 MEZ Teams competed in the Elimination Matches.
5 MEZ Teams competed as Alliance Captains in the Elimination Round.
1 MEZ Team finished as a SEMIFINALIST.
12 times MEZ teams finished as a QUARTERFINALIST.
4 MEZ Teams qualified for the State Championship.
1 MEZ Mentor received the Michigan Woodie Flowers Award.
1 MEZ Combination Team competed in the World Championships in Atlanta.
