AsexualReproduction
Inthistype,asingleparentcanproduceoffspring.
Theproducedoffspringareclonesofeachother(i.e.,
identicaltoeachotherandtotheparent).
Itiscommonlyseeninunicellularorganismsbelongingto
protistaandmonera.
Here,thecelldivisionitselfisthemodeofreproduction.
MeansofAsexualReproduction
BinaryFission
Inthisprocess,thecelldividesinto
halves,andeachhalfdevelopsintoanadult(example:
Amoeba
,
Paramecium)
.

Budding
Inthisprocess,thecelldividesunequallyto
formbuds,whichremainattachedtotheparentinitially,and
thendetachanddevelopintoamaturecell(example:
yeast).

Formationofspecializedstructures
Conidia(Example:
Penicillium)
Gemmules(Example:Sponges)
Buds(Example:
Hydra
)

ZoosporesMicroscopic,motilespores(Example:
Algae)
