NewYorkState.Thecampaignwillfocusoneducation,organizing,andadvocacytoengagethe
public,localgovernments,andbusinessestoadvancearangeofrenewableenergy,efficiency,
andcleantransportationoptionsandtoadvanceandexpandNewYorkscleanenergypolicies.

ThecampaignalsoreleasedanewCleanJobsNewYorkreportshowingthatmorethan85,000
NewYorkersalreadyworkinthecleanenergysectorandunderscoringthepotentialfor
substantialcleanenergyjobgrowth.Thereare7,500businessestablishmentsacrossall62
counties.Thecomprehensivenewanalysisisfromthenationalnonpartisanbusinessgroup
EnvironmentalEntrepreneurs(E2),theAllianceforCleanEnergyNewYork,theNewYork
StateSustainableBusinessCouncilandNewYorkersforCleanPower.Thereportisavailable

DepartmentofEnergy,aswellasacomprehensivesurveyofhundredsofbusinessesacrossthe
state.Thisreportisthefirstofitskindanditbreaksdowncleanenergyjobsbycounty,
Congressionaldistrict,andstatelegislativedistrict.Also,theauthorsofthereportfoundthat
NYsgrowthexpectationsatalmost7percentarehigherthanotherstatesthathavebeen
studied,basedonthesurveyofemployers.

NewYorkersforCleanPowerisconvenedbytheNaturalResourcesDefenseCouncil(NRDC),
SierraClub,FrackAction,CatskillMountainkeeper,TheSolutionsProject,Environmental
Entrepreneurs(E2),andispartneringwithmanyorganizations,businesses,andothergroups
acrossthestate.

campaignisbringingtogetherorganizations,businesses,municipalities,andcommunitiesto
