STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION

Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2014 for recruitment of Data Entry
Operator and Lower Division Clerks - Declaration of final result

Staff Selection Commission conducted the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2)
Examination, 2014 (Descriptive paper) on 10.05.2015 for recruitment to the post of Data Entry
Operators and Lower Division Clerks at various centres all over country. Based on the cut off
fixed in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Descriptive Paper (Paper-II) by the Commission, 6728
candidates qualified provisionally for skill test for Data Entry Operator and 10634 candidates for
Typing Test for Lower Division Clerk.

While allocating posts of DEO/ LDC and Departments under the DEO/LDC posts to the
qualified candidates, merit-cum-order of preference criteria has been adopted. Wherever
detailed Departments preference for DEO and LDC were available but the post option (i.e. L, D)
was blank, such candidates were first considered for the post of DEO and then for the post of
LDC. Candidates who have not exercised preference for any Department have not been
considered.

As per Notice of examination, the papers/Skill Test considered for the posts are:Name of Post

Paper-I, Paper-II and DEST
Paper-I, Paper-II and Typing Test (exemption is granted
to eligible OH candidates )

For allocation of posts, marks of Paper-II have not been taken into account as Paper-II is
qualifying in nature.

RESOLUTION OF TIE CASES

In case where more than one candidate secures the equal aggregates marks (Paper-I), tie
will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another:i) Marks in first part of the written examination (Paper-I).
ii) Date of birth, with older candidates placed higher.
iii) Alphabetical order in which first names of the candidates appear.

Number of vacancies available, Candidates recommended and marks obtained by last
selected candidates for the post of DEO and LDC, Preference-wise and Department-wise is given
below. Rows corresponding to post/ category with nil reported vacancies have not been included
in the tables. If all the reported vacancies against a category (9-UR, 1-SC, 2-ST, 6-OBC) have
been filled by candidates selected against horizontal categories (3-ExS, 4-OH, 5-HH, 7-VH),
lowest marks are shown against the horizontal category only and corresponding fields against the
vertical categories are 0 :

Criteria adopted for allocation: Candidates were arranged in merit order. Departments were
arranged in alphabetical order starting from Border Roads Organisation, Defence and so on.
Candidates were allocated cyclically to the Departments with first candidate selected going to
first Department, second candidate going to second Department and so on subject to availability
of vacancies.

The final result of this examination is available on SSCs Website:
http://ssc.nic.in. Marks of qualified and non-qualified candidates with details of
their options, preferences, mistakes in skill test etc. will be placed on the website
shortly.
