Technology (NIOT), Chennai under Earth System Sciences Organisation, Ministry of Earth Sciences on regular basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential:- B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university with at least 60%
marks in the qualifying degree level.
Desirable:- Masters Degree in Structural Engineering / Ocean Engineering / Naval Architecture.

Job Requirement

(i) Floating body dynamics, mooring, analysis, offshore structures, structural analysis and design, knowledge of
codes like ANSYS, STAADPRO, MOSES, Orcaflex, desirable.

(iii) The said signed copy of the application along with necessary testimonials must reach National Institute of Ocean Technology
(NIOT) within 07 days (15 days for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim,
Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh,
Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the Union Territory of Lakshadweep) from the date of CLOSING OF ONLINE SUBMISSION.
General Conditions:
i. The number of posts to be filled may vary. The Ministry reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process without assigning any
reason thereof.
ii. The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called
for interview. If the number of applications received in response to Advertisement is large, it will not be convenient or possible for the
Selection Committee to interview all those candidates. So, the Ministry may restrict the number of candidates to be called for
interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of desirable qualifications and/or experience prescribed, and / or job requirement, and/or
any other bench mark decided by the committee. No correspondence will be entertained with candidates who are not called for
interview/selected for appointment.
iii. Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro second class rail fare by the shortest route.
iv. The selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India and outside.
v. Experience will be counted after completion of essential academic qualifications, while a completed Doctorate degree will be
counted as three years experience. In case a candidate has obtained the above degree while in service only his/her service period will
be counted towards experience and he/she will not get any additional weightage in experience for acquiring Doctorate towards total
period of experience.
vi. Candidates working in Government Department /Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous organizations should apply in the given
prescribed proforma through proper channel.
vii. Copies of certificates in support of educational qualifications, date of birth, Disability (OH, Ph,) and experience should be attached
with the application. Candidates will have to produce the original certificates as and when required.
viii. Applications received after the closing date or received incomplete in any respect are liable to be summarily rejected. No
representation against such rejection will be entertained.
ix. Canvassing in any form will result in Disqualification of Candidature.
