That's wh(in we sail from New York on the Italian liner, the "Michelangelo."

This will put us in Naples June 6 and, the Lord willing, that same evening we
will be home in Terracina.

So our ^rlough is almost over and has taken us over a great part of the
States. We! lave made new friends, renewed old friendships, and have been
blessed beypi id words by the lovr and care of all.

The Lor^ has, through you, kept the work in Italy and the radio ministry
alive. Giu^ppe and Rosetta have done a marvelous job during our absence

and they hajvj been helped by your prayers.

We ask ilat you continue to pray with us and for us. Such a fellowship
of praying Cliristians is the greatest power on earth, because it is through this

very gatherir g of His people's praise, thanksgiving and supplication that God
channels thfe infinite supply of His Spirit's operation on earth in accordance

with His will d.

The material need is great for continuing and expanded support. Our
expenses
rdsalting from Mary Frances' surgery and our return to the field

are heavy.|

The dollar crisis has hit our personal and mission income both very hard.
Together wi th new taxes in Italy and the rising cost of living, our expenses
are between 25% and 30% higher than they were only months ago.

Kids are kids whatever language they speak. Can't you tell from these
little biricchinP. (Happy and mischievous.)
But they all understand the language of God's love. These are some of our

children who need to learn more of that language.

CAST NETS IN FAITH

Jesus knows where His people are! All we have to do is cast our nets, in
faith, for the catch. "The mountains saw Thee, and they trembled; the over
flowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice."

STEPS

Steps are used to get

to many places but in

Italy the "steps to the

Kingdom" are not known
to very many, as yet.

We want to bring these

people to the place where

"the law of God is in

his heart; none of his

steps shall slide."

Dear Ones:

Personal letters have been difficult to get written in these

months since our return to the field. We hope this one wi l l
reach you safe ly...tta I y Ls badly hit by.ydiat we caU hiccup_
strikes of the postal workers and mai l is pi led up by the ton
in al l of the major cities. However, whenever you do receive
this you wi l l know that we are thinking of you and praying
f or y ou ,

Highlights of our activities in the past months

many guests, work to take care of which had pi led up i n
our absence, materials to prepare for our Bible Schools and
chi ldren's summer program, getting back into the actual work
here and also that of the radio ministry. Giuseppe and '
been very busy with Bible Studies in various places now that
the summer months are over and the people are more free from
their work in the fields. Rosetta and Mary frances have ar

ranged their schedules to make cal ls for Bible Reading with

the women and al l of us are involved In the Study Center which

opened at the start of the school year, October 1st.
I have been to Germany to record the next series of programs
for the "Search The Scriptures" broadcast. The preparation

-of-tK^^rmons-was anotdier "h i gh fight" of^the^^^l^^f the pa^t

months which took a lot of time, inasmuch, as word for word

copies must be on fi le with the studio. This means a perfect

typing job for Mary Frances since mistakes can mean loss of
'time in pecopding and editing.

Christmas is coming up on us very fast and our kids from the

Center and the Bible Schools are getting excited about the

program they are planning. We, personal ly, are 'oozing

to Christmas with our Ital ian fami ly, Giuseppe, Rosetta, Roberto
and Daniela. We missed them very much whi le we were on furlough
and the other day whi le Rosetta and Mary Frances were talking
about Christmas, Rosetta said: "We must celebrate twice this

year to make up for the sad day last year when you were not
here." We wish you al l could know this dedicated Christian

fami ly and see their witness for |tbe Lord.
