Monday marked the start of early voting for the June 8 primary, and it’s more critical than ever
that Californians cast a ballot in this election. Meg is the only fiscal conservative in the race and we
believe she is the only candidate for governor who can turn our state around.
Learn how you can do your part – register to vote, request a ballot from your county registrar or
find out more about Meg’s plan for building “A New California.”
To register to vote in the June 8 primary election, your registration must be postmarked no later
than May 24 and mailed to your county registrar’s office. Do not send it to the California Secretary
of State’s office, or it will delay receipt of your ballot. You can find a list of county registrar offices
and contact information here: http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/elections_d.htm
If you are voting absentee, your ballot should be arriving in the mail soon. You have until June 1 to
request an absentee ballot. And, of course, you can go to the polls on June 8.
A: You have until June 1 to request an absentee ballot. There are several ways to obtain a ballot:
• You can use the application printed on your Sample Ballot that is mailed to you by your
county elections official prior to every election.
• If you don't want to wait for your sample ballot, you can write to your county elections
official for an application or you may use the California Vote-By-Mail Ballot Application.
(Downloadable PDF)
• Once you have signed and dated the application, mail it to your county elections office.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not send it to the Secretary of State's office, because this will delay
receipt of your vote-by-mail ballot.
A: Absolutely. If you are a voter who has declined to state an affiliation with a political party, you
can still vote for Meg in the primary election. When you call your local registrar or go into the
voting booth on June 8, request a Republican ballot. Please remember that you cannot request
more than one party’s ballot.
For more information on how to vote for Meg as a decline-to-state voter, contact your county
elections office. http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/elections_d.htm

Q: Where do I vote?
A: If you plan to vote in person, polls will open June 8 at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
• Your polling place is shown on the back of your sample ballot. Poll locations may change
from one election to another. It is best to vote in the correct polling place.

A: Meg’s comprehensive agenda outlines how she’ll address jobs, spending and education – the top
three areas she will focus on if elected governor. And it also offers plans for other issues important
to Californians, such as immigration, the environment and public safety. Learn more about Meg’s
plan or download it here.
