This fantasy story about three little mice has the

intrigue of detailed illustrations mixed with the
tension and humor of the plot structure.

Invite children to join in as you sing the song on page

14. Emphasize you by pointing to Brown Mouse. Then
introduce variations, pointing to yourself and pictures
of food while singing, I like (bread and cheese).
Encourage children to point to pictures as they sing.

word in bold. Enjoy the humor of the

Ask children to draw pictures of the various

things that make birthday parties fun.
