BACKGROUND
This configuration setting helps to arrive dates for activities in
shipping, starting from picking to goods issue of the material
based on requested delivery date of the sales order.

Define Scheduling by Sales Document Type

BACKGROUND
This configuration setting enables to define scheduling by
sales document type.
Activate Delivery and Transportation scheduling for the sales
document type.
Example It can be deactivated for order type RE for return
order, which is created to get the material back from the
customer.

Define scheduling by shipping point

BACKGROUND
This configuration setting enables to define scheduling by
shipping point.

Double click on the record

Pick / pack and Loading time determination can be controlled

using shipping point.
When the dates are calculated using pick / pack and loading
lead times, factory calendar of shipping point is used for
reference. Working days as per the factory calendar is
considered during scheduling.

These times will be dependent / independent of route.

As shown above pick / pack time and loading times can be

maintained with or without route.
Also, here transit time and transportation lead times can be
maintained

Option C
These times can be defaulted from the shipping point
definition.

Example When shipping point in a sales document is 1000,

then loading time is 1 day and pick/pack time is 1 day.
Working Times
Work times capture actual working times as per shift sequence
and shift timings.
If these are selected for shipping point, then lead-time can be
set in hours / minutes.
Let us see how work times are maintained.

Shift definitions are created as above giving start and end time
of each shift.
Enter the required shifts in the shift sequence for each
workday

These shift sequences are then assigned to factory calendar.

Each combination is identified as work time. Example
WTGE1S is created with shift sequence GE1S and factory
calendar 01 and WTGE2S is created with shift sequence GE2S
and factory calendar 01. Lead times if set in hours / minutes
are then used to determine dates in delivery and
transportation scheduling using shift times as per work times
selected in the shipping point definition.
