Term 2 2010
Melbourne Park Practise Session
The end of this term will see a special training
session on offer at Melbourne Park. There will be a
maximum of 3 sessions with only 8 students per
group.
If you are interested please register your interest
ASAP. Sessions will go for one hour and will be
held on June 27 from 1.30pm.
Cost is $20 per student
Payment to be made prior to session
This is a once a year opportunity that has been
negotiated with Tennis World Melbourne Park.
WRTA Winter Competition 2010
6 junior teams have commenced winter 2010.
The grades are Saturday Sections 2, 11, 17, 21x2 and
Sunday Section 4.
2 rounds in and all teams are looking competitive. In
total there are 9 new students who have taken up the
competitive challenge

Geelong Junior Grass court championships
Congratulations to Tone Gojani for making the Semi
finals and in doing so gaining her first Australian
ranking points.
Also congratulations to Alexandra Nisiphorou for
winning at Mytleford over the Easter break

Parents/Partners doubles challenge
Coming up at the end of this term will be a
parents/partners mixed doubles challenge.
This is open to all parents to play with their better
halves and see how they go on court. Date to be
confirmed shortly. No tennis skills required. It
would be helpful if students can assist by
umpiring!!!!
Racquet Clearance at or below cost
Tennis Futures Australia has a limited
number of 2010 model racquets to be
cleared. These are all current models and
are all brand new.
Prokennex and Tecnifibre
Racquets can be tested every Sunday
from midday to 12.15pm or by request.
2011 Australian Open Ball kid tryouts
Try outs for ballkids for Australian open 2011 have
been held for the third year in a row by Tennis
Futures Australia. 35 children participated in the
initial trials and hopefully some will advance to the
second stage rto be held at Melbourne Park in June.
Court maintenance
Bag courts after each set all the way from the net to
the fence. Also remember to remove any empty
wrappers or bottles when you leave the courts and put
them in the bin or take them home with you.
