This information leaflet regarding tourist visits to Norway is valid for visa application in the
United Arab Emirates. This leaflet stipulates the legal requirements and is carried out in
cooperation with VFS Global to facilitate the visa application. This leaflet can be downloaded
free of charge. Applicants are requested to read it carefully and observe the regulations as
stated below.

I . DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED

Applications form
Fully completed application form (via Norway Portal). The
online filled application should be printed out, signed and
dated by the applicant. Kindly note that it is not possible to
modify the online application electronically after it is
completed
If the applicant is under the age of 18, signed form Letter of
consent needs to be attached including copies of
parents/legal guardian passports
Passport in original
Validity minimum 90 days from the date of expiry of the
requested visa
Signed by bearer
Passport not older than 10 years
At least two free opposite visa pages
Previous passport if applicable
Valid UAE residence permit valid up to 90 days from the
date of expiry of the requested visa/intended end of
journey
Two recent biometric passport sized photographs (3,4x4,5
cm)
Requirements:
Should not be older than 6 months
A frontal view of the face covering 70-80% of the photo
A uniform and light-colored background
Clear facial features and eyes not covered by hair or glasses
frame
Head coverings are only accepted for religious reasons
Do not staple or glue the pictures to the application form

Overseas medical insurance
Valid for the entire duration of the requested visa and for all
Schengen countries

insurances of credit cards are NOT accepted)

Flight and hotel reservation:
Valid (existing) hotel booking/reservation with full address
(name, street, city, zip code, contact information, booking ref.)
Flight reservation or travel itinerary. Do not buy the ticket
until visa has been granted
Letter from local employer/sponsor including name, postal
address and telephone number of sponsor/company, with details
regarding applicants working position, starting date of employment
and salary and timeframe of work leave (expected date to resume
duties)
Proof of financial means of the applicant in the UAE, e.g.
personal bank statements of at least the last 3 months before
application, personal property, assets, others
Proof of visa fee online payment. The payment receipt should be
printed and enclosed to the application
Questionnaire. Filled and signed by the applicant

II. INFORMATION FOR THE APPLICANT ON TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE VISA
PROCESS
The processing time at the Norwegian embassy due to necessary legal
requirements (VIS) usually takes up to 15 calendar days. Applicants are requested
to refrain from status inquiries with the embassy during these 15 days.
Only complete applications can be accepted; Non-submission of necessary
documentation may lead to refusal of visa application.
The visa fee has to be paid on net after filling in the application via Norway Portal.
The Service fee has to be paid to VFS Global in cash upon submitting your
application.
During the processing time the passport has to remain with the Norwegian Embassy.
If the applicant needs her/his passport urgently during the processing period a
written request must be submitted together with supporting documents if
applicable, and the embassy will return the passport to VFS Global within 1 working
day.
False or falsified documents will lead to refusal of visa and /or further consequences.
The Norwegian Embassy reserves the right to ask for additional
documents and/or call applicant for an interview.
