I.
Please login to your online application form to check the selection result. If your application is successful, your
application status should be changed to Offered. To learn how to view the result, please visit
http://www.oal.cuhk.edu.hk/files/outgoing/ViewOfferCUSIS.pdf and pay attention to the following points.
II.
Please follow the instructions below to confirm your acceptance of offer. Otherwise, your nomination will be
cancelled. All cancelled nominations will not be restored and it will affect the composite score(s) of your future
student exchange application(s).
STEP 1:
Read carefully the offer details and statements of agreement at the beginning of your online application
form.
STEP 2:
Confirm your acceptance of offer by pressing the Accept or Refuse button.
(Think twice before you click the button. You are strongly advised to discuss your offer with your parent/guardian.)
STEP 3:
If you accept the offer, you MUST complete the following THREE tasks by 4
February 2015 (12:00 noon).
Task 1: Print the Family Support Letter which will be sent to your CUHK email account within one
hour if you press the Accept button before 11 pm, or before 8 am on the next day if you press the
Accept button at or after 11 pm, and ask your parent/guardian to sign on it.
(The family support letter MUST be signed by your parent/guardian. Dishonesty in completing
the offer acceptance procedure will result in disqualification of the exchange participation and
cancellation of the exchange offer even though all the other acceptance requirements are met,
e.g. you clicked the accept button online and submitted the payment for student exchange
nomination deposit form.
** If your parent/guardian is not in Hong Kong, please fax/email the Family Support Letter to
your parent/guardian, ask him/her to sign on it and then email it to Office of Academic Links at
iasp@cuhk.edu.hk by 4 February 2015 (12:00 noon). The original copy should be mailed to
our Office as soon as possible.)**
Task 2: Download and fill in the Payment for Student Exchange Nomination Deposit Form available
at http://www.oal.cuhk.edu.hk/files/outgoing/DepositForm.doc to guarantee the deposit
payment of HK$1,500.
** ONLY VISA or MASTER Card which valid until May 2016 is accepted. If you have not
Visa or Master card, you can use your parent/guardian/friend.**
** The nomination deposit will be debited from the given bank account only if the student
withdraws from the exchange programme without compelling reason(s).**
Task 3: Submit the signed Family Support Letter and the signed Payment for Student Exchange
Nomination Deposit Form, together with the original credit card or a clear photocopy of
the front of the credit card (which is used for verification purpose, the photocopy will be

returned to you after checking) to Office of Academic Links by 4 February 2015 (12:00
noon).
III.
If you do not accept the exchange offer and cannot provide compelling reasons, 20 percent of your composite
score will be automatically deducted when you submit your application for CUHK Student Exchange
Programmes next time. You will not be considered in the 2nd round selection as well since the 2nd round selection
is only for those applicants who were short-listed but unsuccessful in the 1st round selection (except for those
receiving offers from both college and OAL, and accept the colleges offer). If you refuse the exchange offers in two
selections without compelling reasons, your future student exchange application will not be considered.
IV.
CUHK full-time students are only allowed to go on exchange for a maximum of one academic year and one summer
(applicable to university-wide summer programmes only). Students who have not joined any regular term-time or
university-wide summer exchange programme in the current/previous academic year(s) will be given a higher priority
in the selection. If you accept the exchange offer, the composite score of your next application will be discounted by
20 percent.
