1. Introduction

Purpose

Regarding the requirement of MESH a new installation for the safety of the employees has been
installed in the site of Le Lieu.

5. Instructions
The instructions for the use of the new PTI installation are simple however it needs to be
well understood.
The transmitters can work in several different modes, so each user has to be sure that the
transmitters works in the good one (Tilt switch).
Before to take the transmitter please be sure that the red LED blinks each 10 seconds.
Moreover it will prove that the batteries inside the transmitter are OK.
Wear the transmitter with the antenna pointing to the ground. A buzzer alarm will tone if the
sensor is tilting more than 45 degrees from vertical after 5 seconds and ends 15 seconds
later by sending an alarm to the receiver.
Then the speech dialler will call all the first aid team.
When the system PTI is activated all the phones of the first aid team are ringing. A voice
message tell them that someone in the electrical lab need a first aid help or assistance.
The rescuer has to push the emergency stop button and broke the glass to take a key to
enter in the lab and to proceed with safety and rescue process.
To validate that the rescue process is done, the black button of the transmitter has to be
pushed. Note that the transmitter which has just been validated would not send any other
signal to the receiver for 5 minutes.

Please check in the IT room that the receiver has erased its alarm. Channel leds must be
light off.

6. Actions to add for the final report

Evaluate the coverture of the signal between the transmitters and the receiver.
Instruct all the First Aid Team.
Perform the support of the rescue team, for example if any other people of the site who are
not in the first aid team noticed that 2 rings are ringing can take the initiative to act.
