2. Safety instruction
2.1

Introduction

Congratulations on your new high pressure cleaner. In order to ensure

you full benet of the high pressure cleaner we ask you to read this
instruction carefully before starting.
The high pressure cleaner is robust and simple to operate, however,
should problems arise, which cannot be solved with the help of this
instruction, please approach your dealer or the service department
of the factory.

2.2

Safety

The user must;

*

Have thorough knowledge of the safety function, the equipment, and the
care of the machine.

Be well informed about the safety- and health demands applying to working with the machine.

Have developed a working technique against hazard - and health risks

during the work.

It is the duty of the employer to make sure that all personnel operating
the high pressure cleaning system meet these demands.
Young people under the age of 18 are not allowed to operate a high pressure
cleaning system with a working pressure above 70 bar unless they have
carried out an approved, qualifying education.
The high pressure cleaning system must always be kept in good condition
and should therefor be checked on a regular basis.
This safety instruction must be followed;
*

The electrical installation to which the machine is connected must be

correctly dimensioned and have correct earth.

When checking and repairing, remember to turn off the machine at the
main switch and turn off the water supply and relieve the pressure on
the gun. This must also be done after use.

When changing gun and hose, the machine must be turned off and the
pressure relieved.

Use only original high-pressure hoses. Never try to repair defective

high-pressure hoses.

Unauthorised personnel are not allowed to stay in a hosing area.

Note! The user must hold the gun and nozzle with both hands, stand
rmly, and use safety shoes/boots, protective clothing, safety goggles,
helmet with visor and if necessary ear protection. The dead mans handle
of the gun must never be blocked.

The user may not stand on a ladder unless there is a rail or another
safety measure providing the same safety.

If the work is carried out in an inappropriate position or lasts longer than

hour, the use of shoulder brace is recommended.

The jet must never be pointed at people or animals, electrical installations or other exposed places.

The high pressure cleaning of asbestos materials is forbidden.

2. Safety instruction
Besides this the user must be protected against unnecessary inuence of
noise and vibrations as well as substances. It is the responsibility of the
employer to be informed about changes and new notices/departmental
orders from the national Factories Inspectorate.

2.3

Description of the pump

The high-pressure cleaner is built-up in a common epoxy coated frame.

The electrical motor is built together with a robust 3-cylinder high-pressure pump with ceramic pistons, stainless steel valves and cylinder head
of a non-corrosion alloy.
The unloader and safety valve regulates the pressure and the water
quantity, protects the pump against overload and gives a pressure less
circulation with closed gun.
The electrical panel contains a power switch, automatic starter, thermorelay for engine protection as well as a timer for delayed stop.
Maximum water inlet temperature 60C.

3. Operation and maintenance

3.1

Operation instruction

Before starting
1.

Connect the cable. Note the label voltage and current of the machine
(see the data list).

2.

Check rotation of pump. (Rotation of pumps can be both ways).

3.

Check the oil level of the pump (oil stick or glass).

4.

Connect the high-pressure hose or pipe.

5.

Rinse the supply hose before connecting it to the machine.

6.

Maximum water pressure, 8 bar.

7.

Minimum water pressure 2-3 bar

8.

Minimum water ow 1,5 times rated water capacity

9.

Turn on the water and rinse the gun and the High-pressure hose before
connecting to the nozzle.

10. Let water run through the pump and nozzle pipe as the gun is held
open.
11. Start the machine with the gun open. Then close the gun and turn switch,
the machine will run a few seconds and then stop.
12. When the gun is opened, the machine starts and stops again a few
seconds after closing the gun. The idling time can be adjusted.
13. Adjusting the pressure regulation valve changes the working pressure.
14. Depending on the cleaning purpose, the double lance can be changed
to a special single lance with rotating nozzle, other lances available
upon request.
15. If you want to lay out soap or chemicals, an external injector is to be
connected at the high-pressure side exit or between two hose connections. The suction hose of the injector with lter is put into the chemical
can and the pressure regulator valve on the gun, be opened to low
pressure. Maximum 7 % chemical/soap is supplied to the water. When
closing the pressure regulation valve, the supply of chemical/soap is
shut off.
16. Note! If using hot water up to 60 C inlet water temperature, the timer
(start/stop) must be adjusted to max. 10 sec. Use of hot water will decrease the lifetime of the piston seals.
17. MH models only (hot water).
If hot water is required, start the boiler by turning on starter switch and
adjust the temperature on the thermostat.
If your water supply is dirty with particles, we advise you to mount an extra
efcient lter in order to protect the pump and other vital parts of the machine.
When cleaning with salt water or water with chemicals, the pump must be
rinsed with clean water after use.
After use the start switch is shut off and the water supply is closed.
Remember to relieve the pressure on the gun.

3. Operation and maintenance

3.2

Maintenance

To ensure that you can benet from your high pressure cleaner as long
time as possible, we recommend that you:

On a regular basis check the oil level of the pump.

Change oil after the rst 50 hours.

Afterwards after each 200-500 hours - or at least once a year.
Oil type: non foaming SAE W20-40

Clean the water lter when necessary.

Rinse the feeder hose after long time standstill.
(Interior algae cover can block the lter).

Keep the vital parts of the machine clean.

In frosty weather the machine is placed in a frost proof room or make

the machine frost-free as follows; The feeder hose is replaced by a

short suction hose which is placed in a can of antifreeze. The nozzle
is kept in the same can and the gun a few times so that the circulation
also is rinsed.

If frosty weather make sure to drain the high pressure pipe line.
MH models only (hot water).
Clean regulary burner and boiler for soot.

10

3.3

How to use roto nozzle

Always point roto nozzle down before starting in order to evacuate air
from the nozzle.

Start roto nozzle.

When started it can be moved in all positions.
