RACE TO THE TOP OF BRADFORD

National Trails Day Event

June 5, 2010  •  Bradford, Vermont
8:30am On-Site Registration  •  9:00am Event Begins

3.5 MILE RUN:

Make a challenging 850’ ascent to the top of Wrights Mountain on beautiful trails of Bradford’s town-owned
forestland. Enjoy a quick view from Bradford’s highest point before you loop back to the starting area. Prizes
will be awarded to top male and female finishers as well as various age group winners.

1.5 MILE FUN RUN/ WALK:

This event is open to ages 13 and under. Enjoy a picturesque tour through the lower Wrights Mountain
Forest. Small children must be accompanied by an adult. All children will receive a prize for completing this
course.

All proceeds will benefit the Bradford Conservation Commission (BCC), which manages this town-owned
forest. The BCC is currently raising money to purchase and conserve additional land adjacent to the
current forest.

Pre & post race entertainment will feature live music and refreshments (by donation).

DIRECTIONS:
From Barre:
Take Route 302 to Route 25; travel 13.5 mi on Route 25 South to Chase Hollow Road on left across from two
chalet type houses. Travel just over 1 mile on this dirt road. Marked parking areas will be available ¼ mile
before and ¼ mile after the trailhead staging area.

From Bradford (I-91 Exit 16):

Take Route 25 North for about 3.5 miles. Turn right onto Chase Hollow Road across from two chalet type
houses. Travel just over 1 mile on this dirt road. Marked parking areas will be available ¼ mile before and ¼
mile after the trailhead staging area.

I know that running a trail race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am
medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability
to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running in this event including, but not limited
to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including heat and/or humidity, traffic
and the condition of the road and/or trails, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read
this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and
anyone else entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Bradford Conservation Commission, the
Town of Bradford, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims and liabilities of any
kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or
carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
