NTI Admission Application Forms Are Out 2014/2015

National Teachers Institute, NTI admission application forms for the 2014/2015
academic session is on.
The authorities of the National Teachers Institute (NTI) are inviting suitable qualified
candidates for admission into their various programmes for the 2014/2015
academic session. Below are the requirements and application processes to apply
for National Teachers Institute (NTI) programmes.

2014 Admission Application Form Details


(A) The N.C.E. Programme:
The Nigerian Certificate in Education (N.C.E.) is a special A-Level grade Course
intended for Secondary school leavers or their equivalent.
On the one hand, it is taken as an A-Level Course because it upgrades the
knowledge of its student to an A-Level standard in the particular subject of his/her
choice; while on the other hand it is referred to as SPECIAL A-level because it also
equips the students with the techniques and methodologies of TEACHING.
Method of Application for NTI NCE (DLS) Programme
Application for admission into the N.C.E. (DLS) programme is done online. In order
to do this, an applicant must first and foremost purchase a PIN Number from any
branch of one of the NTI Bankers nationwide. Presently, the NTI Bankers are
Keystone, Zenith and UBA Plc. Also the current FEE for the Application Form is
=N=2,350 only. This include the cost of the Online Form, the NTI Students Portal
Access Fee and the Bank charges.

The Application Form PIN MUST be 16-Digits and ends with ADM. The Applicant
should then logon to the NTI Students Portal whose address is www.ntionline.net
Then on the Home Page the Applicant should click Application Form,
Select N.C.E., enter the 16-Digits PIN and follow the instructions accordingly. After
completing the Form, you should SAVE and PRINT your copy. You can then check
your admission letter online using the same PIN after 48 hours.
Entry Requirements for NTI N.C.E. (DLS) Programmes
The MAIN requirement is 5 Credits passes in any of the following certificates. One of
the Credit pass MUST be in the Subject for which the candidate intends to make it
his chosen Teaching Subject.
- Grade II Teachers Certificate (TC-II)
Pivotal Teachers Certificate (PTC)
West African School Certificate (WASC)
National Examination Council (NECO-SSCE)
General Certificate Examination (GCE)
National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) Certificate
Higher Islamic Studies Certificate (HISC)
However, existing teachers with Five (5) Years of Teaching Experience but who
are without the number of Credit passes mentioned above can be considered
(B) The P.G.D.E. Programme:
The Postgraduate Diploma in Education is a higher Diploma that is specifically
designed for Non-Education graduates that are either currently teaching or intend to
take up teaching appointment in later life.
It contents cover not only the techniques and methodologies of teaching, but also
covers special professional areas like Educational Planning / Administration,
Guidance and Counseling, Early Childhood Education, School Supervision and
inspection etc.
Method of Application for the Postgraduate Diploma Programme
Application for admission into the P.G.D.E. programme is done online. In order to do
this, an applicant must first and foremost purchase a PIN Number from any branch
of one of the NTI Bankers nationwide. Presently, the NTI Bankers are Keystone,
Zenith and UBA Plc. Also the current FEE for the Application Form is =N=2,350 only.
This include the cost of the Online Form, the NTI Students Portal Access Fee and the
Bank charges.

Entry Requirements for NTI Postgraduate Diploma Programme
A First Degree from a RECOGNIZED University or a HND certificate from a
RECOGNIZED Polytechnic / University affiliated Colleges of Agriculture. Specifically,
the following Qualifications are acceptable:- BA, B.Sc, B.Agric., B.Eng., B.Tech., LLB.
MBA, M.Sc, M.Agric., M.Eng., M.Tech., LLM
PHD Certificates
HND Certificates
An NYSC Discharge Certificate or a Letter of Exemption from NYSC Service is
required as evidence of the RECOGNIZED Status of the University / Polytechnic
attended and the Qualification Obtained.
(C) The Advanced Diploma Programmes:
NTI offers THREE (3) types of Advanced Diplomas in special areas of Education.
These are:

Advanced Diploma in Guidance and Counseling.

Advanced Diploma in School supervision / Inspection

Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Education

These special areas are intended specifically for N.C.E. graduate Teachers who wish
to upgrade their professional knowledge. However, holders of Ordinary Diploma in
non-education fields who are teaching or intend to take up teaching appointment
later can also be considered.
Method of Application for the Advanced Diploma Programmes:
Application for admission into any of the Advanced Diploma programmes is done
online. In order to do this, an applicant must first and foremost purchase a PIN
Number from any branch of one of the NTI Bankers nationwide. Presently, the NTI

The Entry Requirements for NTI Advanced Diploma Programmes:
An NCE Certificate from a RECOGNIZED College of Education is the Minimum Entry
requirement. However, existing Teachers with ND certificate from RECOGNIZED
Polytechnic or Colleges of Agric can be considered for any of the Advanced Diploma
Programmes.

@ Ahmad emiola, Presently, the P.G.D.E. tuition fee per Semester is =N=25,850,
while the N.C.E. tuition fee per Semester is =N=16,350.

how many months are there in PGD programme. Is there study center at Kubwa FCT.

@okolo benedette, NTI PGD are 15 months courses that include three months of
internship. NTI has study centre in FCT
