"Abhivyakti 2016" organized by Delhi University and Bhim Rao Ambedkar college on
29th February, it's one day intra college cultural programme promises to be full of
manifestation and expression of innovative and creative thoughts, feelings and
visions through various activities by students and teachers of different departments
in the college.
In Abhivyakti the students of Department of Psychology
of Bhim Rao Ambedkar College worked on innovative
ideas related to the topic "Psychology in everyday life".
Students selected various themes to work on like
Biopsychology, cultural and indigenous Psychology,
Media psychology, communication, psychological
testing, General psychology, cognitive psychology,
psychology of stress and health under the guidance of
teachers.
Students presented presentations, flow charts, Models, fun activities and
even play on above themes such as:
Biopsychology: - students of 3rd year worked on this theme and invented model
of neuron, model of structure and areas of brain.
Media Psychology: - in this theme the students of 3rd year focused on different
ways of media persuasions, advertisement and media, culture and media, trend in
media psychology and mass behavior. Students presented presentations, models
and flow charts.
Cultural and indigenous Psychology: - In this theme the students of 3rd year
presented model made out of clay on origin and variation of Indian culture and
behavior adaptation, flow chart on spirituality.
General Psychology:- students of 1st year psychology and B.A programme came
with many innovative and creative ideas on sub themes related to psychology like
motivation ( model of Maslow's need hierarchy), model on origin of Psychology,
emotion expressions, Personality(model of big five factors). They also made charts
on which they wrote many Psychological facts, misconceptions related to
psychology.

Psychological testing: - students administered intelligence tests on the audience


and introduced logical and funny brain games.
Cognitive psychology: - students focused on the sub themes related to human
cognition like attention, decision making, emotions etc. and they prepared charts
and models as well.
Communication: - In this, the students of 2nd year prepared charts on Myer'sbriggs test on career and personality, anger management and nonverbal
communication and presentations on the anger management and helped group
members, even students of 3rd year performed play based on nonverbal
communication.
Stress and health: - students of 2nd year made creative charts on health and
wellness and on the movies based on Psychological disorders.
An innovation project related to the area of media psychology also represented by
the department of Psychology.
In Abhivyakti 2016 the students and teachers of Department of Psychology gave
comprehensive combined efforts to make it successful with their innovative,
creative and expressive ideas that enhance the practical and subjective knowledge
of mankind in the area of Psychology.
