INSTRUCTIONS

* This DVD-ROM may contain a folder named Work Files. Within this folder are
files used and referenced by the author during the creation of this course.
1) The VTC Player application is the interface used to view VTC tutorials.
Use the version of the VTC Player found on this disc, VTC Player disc or
www.vtc.com.
Windows users will launch the VTC Player.exe in step 4.
Mac users will launch one of the two VTC Player versions:
VTC Player (Mac Intel)
VTC Player (Mac PowerPC)
2) The VTC Player requires that QuickTime 7+ be installed on your system.
To install QuickTime, proceed to step 3 or skip to step 4.
3) To install QuickTime 7 on Windows 7/Vista/XP SP2, open the folder
QuickTime Installer and double click on the file QuickTimeInstaller.exe.
Follow instructions to complete the installation.
* QuickTime 7 for Windows 2000 SP4 users should download QuickTime 7.1.6.

To install on a Mac, open the folder QuickTime Installer and double click on the
file QuickTimeInstallerX.dmg. Follow instructions to complete the installation.
4) To play VTC tutorials, place your VTC disk in the DVD-ROM drive. Launch the
VTC Player application designed for your operating system.
The VTC Player should default to Single-User CD Player mode but if it does not,
click the Change Settings button. A Preferences window appears.

* VTC Player no longer works in online mode (Internet VTC Player). You need to use a web browser to view
movies from the VTC Online University.

Below Player Type, select Single-User CD Player. Click the OK button.

6) To play a tutorial within the VTC Player, click the tutorial link to highlight it.
Click the single or double arrowed playback button to the right.

* Clicking the QuickTime icon does not play the movie. It only places a
checkmark, marking the tutorial as having been viewed.
