At least 35 DVD productions have been created by different
organizations and creators in order to present aspects of the Municipality of Trikala (nature, history, folk culture, religion, sport, public life). For our presentation, which lasts 22 min., we used scenes from 9 of them.
1st DVD: Documentary film created by the Municipal Authority of Trikala
with text composed by Theodoros Nimas. It presents the Municipality of Trikala, its monuments, traditions and culture.
2nd DVD: Documentary film produced by the Greek Public Television. It
refers to the traditional town quarter of Trikala, called “Varousi”. It is based on the same titled book of Mrs Maroula Kliafa.
3rd DVD: Documentary film produced by KENAKAP (Centre for the
Development of Kalambaka and Pyli). It presents the monuments, traditions and occupations of people on Metora and the mountains of Pindus.
4th DVD: Documentary film produced by KENAKAP (Centre for the
Development of Kalambaka and Pyli). It presents scenes of the athletic event Pindos Crossing 2000, which took place on Meteora and the mountains of Pindus.
5th DVD: Documentary film produced by KENAKAP (Centre for the
Development of Kalambaka and Pyli). It presents folk dances and a cooking competition of traditional pies at Pyli village, in the frames of the project “Thessalian Tastes”.
6th DVD: Documentary film produced by the Chamber of Commerce of
Trikala. It contains a short history of the region of Trikala and Meteora and focuses on the agricultural, shepherd and industrial activities of the locals.
7th DVD: Documentary film presented by the reporter Mayia Tsokli
(“Taxidevontas” = Travelling) and produced by the Greek Public Television (NET). It refers to the Acheloos river and the surrounding mountainous region of Pindus. It gives information on the history, monuments and public life of the region. We mention the participation of the president of the FILOS Association, Theodoros Nimas.

-CARD: Multimedia and NT Resources- 8th DVD: Documentary film produced by the newspaper “Eleftherotypia” and the journal “Geotropio” titled “Greece from above”. Here we used the part referring to Meteora, with breathtaking images from the sky.
9th DVD: Documentary film produced and created by the Cultural
Organisation of the local authority of Kalambaka (2006), with the cooperation of the FILOS member Nikolaos Ziogas. It presents Kalambaka, Meteora and its surrounding area with beautiful images.
Finally, we present the covers of some more DVDs and CD-ROMs with relevant context, which have not been used in the presentation, in order to save time.
The musical background consists of songs and music compositions of
local creators and also of well known greek music.
