YOUR FIRST HOUSE

When I was a child I lived in Corua, in Matogrande. It wasnt in the city centre but there were a lot
of buses. I lived in a small flat with my parents and my brother. Our flat was on the second floor of an
old building. The flat was beautiful and sunny. I had a small room next to my brothers room. There
was a big bathroom and a small kitchen. The living room was small and there was a red carpet . On
this carpet, my brother had a lot of footballs and little cars My parents room was small . I didnt have
a TV in my room but I had a lot of toys. My friend Susana lived on the third floor. We went to school
together every day and they she came to my flat to play with me. We didnt play in the park because
it was far from the flat. I liked the area very much. There were a lot of shops , a bus stop and some
cafs. There was also a pizza restaurant. I love pizza! My parents took us there on Friday afternoons.

YOUR FAVOURITE RESTAURANT
My favourite restaurant is O Xantar. It is a small restaurant near my house. It is in the city centre near
the sea. I go there twice a month. I usually go with my friends on Friday evening. We have dinner
there. The food is delicious. They cook very well. My favourite dish is beef steak with cheese and
tomato sauce. I always drink mineral water and I dont have a desert. My friends like Spanish omelette
and we also eat grilled vegetables. It is not very expensive. We normally pay about 13 euros for dinner.
I love the atmosphere. The waiters are very friendly and there is some beautiful Galician music.
EVERYDAY ROUTINES
I get up early every day, at about a quarter past seven. I have a shower , I get dressed, I have coffee
and cereal for breakfast and then I go to work. I am a shop-assistant. I work in a shopping centre. I
start work at 10:00 and I finish work at nine p.m. I dont have lunch at home because I only have half
an hour for lunch. I normally have a sandwich in a caf near the shop. I have lunch with a friend. Her
name is Sandra. She is also a shop-assistant. She is 24 years old and she is very nice. After work, I go
back home by bus. I have dinner with my family at ten p.m. We normally have healthy food such as a
salad or an omelette but we never eat junk food. I dont have time to do housework so I do it on
Sunday. I dont work on Sundays
A CONCERT YOU WENT TO
Last August I went to a concert in Corua with my boyfriend. Alejandro Sanz is my favourite Spanish
singer. The concert was on the beach. He sang alone. I love his music because his songs are very
romantic and they relax me. The atmosphere was fantastic. There were a lot of people. I think there
were about 4,000 people singing and dancing and having a good time. I wore casual clothes. A pair of
jeans and a T-shirt, I think. I didnt wear a jacket because I wanted to dance but at about one oclock
in the morning I was cold. The concert finished at two oclock and we were very tired but very excited
too. We dont live in the city centre but we didnt take a taxi. Taxis are very expensive. We went back
home on foot. I arrived home very late. It was a perfect night!
WEEKEND ROUTINES
I work on Saturday morning, so I get up early, as usual. I work from 09.00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m. I dont
have lunch at home. I have a small lunch at work. After work, I go home on foot because my office is
near my house. I have a little siesta in front of the TV and then I phone my friends. We normally meet
at nine oclock and we have dinner out. We are a group of five or six friends and we go to different
cheap restaurants. We like pizza, Galician food such as pulpo or raxo, we also like sushi , omelette,
tapas,etc. We talk a lot and after dinner we go clubbing. We never go to a disco by car , we always go
on foot and we go back home by taxi. We normally arrive at about five in the morning.
On Sundays , I get up late, I dont have breakfast and I dont get dressed in the morning. I wear my
pyjamas all day. I watch a lot of films on TV and I eat a lot of Icecream and sweets. I love Sundays. I do
nothing!
