We Must Build Black

Brotherhood & Sisterhood

Within Nationhood
By Ras Aviwe Poqo Tyumre
Our Ankhcestors taught us about the roles of the different gender and age
groups in our families, the community and development of the Black
nation. This is a legacy we must cling to by all means as we see white
supremacy re-defining gender roles, destroying family relations and
causing con-fusion all over the Black world. Here I want to focus on the
role of Black Brotherhood & Sisterhood in the Black liberation struggle
today.
In traditional Afrikan society everyone has a significant role to play. From
the babes to the elders, men and women, everyone plays an important
part in the fulfilment of the material and spiritual (esoteric and exoteric)
needs of the collective community. Thus, before the invasions by the
foreigners from Europe, we had a highly organized society with clearly
defined roles and responsibilities. The males were socialized in a particular
manner and initiated through certain rituals preparing them for the roles
and responsibilities they would play in society. Females were also
organized in the same manner, from the little girls to the old grannies.
This means that all strata of Black society was highly organised to serve
the interests of the different levels of our society. Everyone in the society
was important and had a critical role to play in the development of that
society. But the coming of the white invaders, killers, robbers and rapists
interrupted and corrupted our traditional Afrikan systems of development.
And for this reason alone Black Brotherhood & Sisterhood must be rebuilt
to strengthen our struggle against the enemy, for without solid bonds and
unity amongst ourselves we cannot destroy white supremacy.
Black Brotherhood & Sisterhood circles are key and essential in the Afrikan
society as they represent the backbone of defence, work force, creative
energy and warrior-hood. The Black Brotherhood & Sisterhood must be
built for sustenance, maintenance, mobilization and organization of social
and spiritual forces necessary to defeat white supremacy.
The fundamental role of men and wombmen in traditional Afrikan society
is similar all over the Afrikan world; we are one people and we share the
same value systems, principles, norms and moral codes of life. From the
Yoruba in West Afrika, to the Dinka in the North, the Massai in the East and
the AmaZulu in the South, we all share similar fundamental patterns,
codes and conducts of social behaviour informed by our divine nature,
knowledge of self, history and transcendental connection to the universe.
The Black Brotherhood & Sisterhood must know very well what is
expected from us by our Divine Parents, Elders and Ankhcestors. We must

remain in tune with the ancient order of Maat, our Divine Black family and
the Divine First Way of our Divine First Ankhcestors. Building of strong
Black Brotherhood & Sisterhood is always a priority we cant neglect or
ignore as Afrika is still under siege from alien parasitic exploiters and
colonizers. Our enemies are only interested in keeping our people in
perpetual bondage, living as third-class citizens, beggars and slaves in the
land of our foreparents. And this will continue for as long we remain
divided without strong Brotherhood & Sisterhood circles.
The Black Brotherhood stands as the watchmen of the nation, guarding
the land, the women and children of the land from attack, death and
invasions. The Black Brotherhood builds strong warriors for the defence
and protection of the race. The Black Sisterhood nurtures and nourishes
the nation, guarding the land, the men, women and children of the land
against starvation, ignorance and suffering. The Black Sisterhood feeds,
sustains and educates the people and prepares them for their role in the
broader society.
But since the coming of the whiteboy Black Brotherhood & Sisterhood has
been destroyed and our struggle divided by white politricks. If we are to
be free as a people, then Black Brotherhood & Sisterhood must be
restored and organized to take position in the affairs of our race. We must
build Black Brotherhood & Sisterhood within nationhood; build
Brotherhood and Sisterhood cycles to deal with all issues that affect our
lives today.
Today we are still the weakest race of people on earth, completely
subdued under the domination of other nations. We are in this position
because of more than 2500 years deliberate attempt by European and
Arab colonialists to arrest our natural development into greatness and
excellence. For hundreds of years they have kept us in bondage so that
they can control and exploit our human and natural resources for their
own benefit. This death of our race will continue for as long as we dont
build Black Brotherhood & Sisterhood that will create warriors to fight
against white supremacy. Let the circle be unbroken!
