Discussion
According to Kuhl (1820), the classification of the lizard is as follows:
Kingdom
:

Animalia

Phylum:

Chordata

Class:

Reptilia

Order:

Squamata

Suborder:

Sauria

Family:

Scincidae

Genus:

Eutropis

Species:

Eutropis multifasciata

Lizard is reptile whose body consists of caput, cervix, truncus, and caudal.
The caput shaped is tapered, pyramid towards the posterior and flattened to the
direction of the dorsal ventral. The Cavum oris of lizard is limited by the
inferior labilum, whereas the organs of its non visus is limited by palpebra superior
and palpebra of

the

interior which

can

be

moved Truncus is

usually long

and convex where in the dorsal is yellowish brown coloured and its ventral part
is white (Radiopoetro, 1991).
According to Brotowidjojo (1993), the special characteristics of a lizard that
is there substance to the horns along the surface of his body, or the cauda tail, had its
heart consists of two antrium and ventricle. Lizard has two pairs of limbs are
pentadectil i.e. extrimity anterior and posterior extremity.
Respiratory system on lizard can be found more thin bones called turbinal.
Tongue lizard also corresponds to the fold choane formed channels to drain the air
respiratory via the choane into the larynx. Starting from glottis, larynx, trachea,
annular trachealis which is composed of cartilage ring, branchiolus, bifurcation
trachea or branching trachea and a pair of pulmo (Radiopoetra,1977).
According to Brotowidjoyo (1993), the digestive system include cavum oris,
pharynx, oesophagus, ventriculus, intestinum crasum,

and Cloaca. No tongue out to

catch prey, his teeth attached to the jaw. Cavum oris continued into the pharynx,

oesophagus, and stomach with the fundus and pylorus. Digestive tract in the
stomach and then into the intestinum rectum, and Cloaca. Liver and pancreas into
the intestinum vascular. Cloaca to release the residue of the digestion, secretions,
and reproduction.
The mouth on the lizard is restricted by a jagged jaw, tongue, and staunchly,
protruding upwards. Nasopharynx channel that connects the nasal cavity pharynx.
throat is the part of an existing larynx behind the tongue. Eustachian is the channel in
the right and left of maxilla (Rmer, 1966).
Jaw assortment of Lizards in the mouth shape in accordance with the shape
and size of its teeth. Excretion of Lizards is the semisolid like birds and most other
reptiles. Male lizard have 2 hemipenis which lay next to the cloaca (Strorer and
Usinger, 1957).
The excretion system of lizards was built by a pair of kidneys contained
somewhat to the base of the tail from the back leg, and Brown was squashed
shape. There is a pair of ureters which boils down to vesica urinary (bladder) and
ends at the small hole Cloaca (Jasin, 1989).
Urogenital system consists of irregular-shaped pair of kidneys, colored dark
red, composed of two anterior and posterior lobby (Parker and Haswell,1978).
Lizards have a bladder or urinary functioning bags to carry water in order to moisten
the soil to be used as the nest.Ureter empties in the Cloaca and will be absorbed back
into the urine bag.
The male genetalia system in lizard, consists of a pair of testis which are
shaped rounded, efferent channels do not visible, they come down to the channel
epididymis of testis next to bottom there after the ductus defferen and a pair of
organs is a dealer hemipenis sperm. If the base of the tail of the mal animal which
suffocation, then the hemipenis will be sticking out (Djuhanda,1984).
The differences between the female and female of Lizard is that in the male,
there are a pair of testis, while in the female lizards have ovaries. On lizard, the male
testes contained on the next to its location which higher than on a testis on the right,
a pair of kidneys and the hemipenis. Female lizard have a pair of ostioum tube,
oviduct, ovaries (Brotowidjoyo,1993).

IV. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

A. Conclusions
Based on the results can be conclude that :
1. Lizard have parts of body. They are head (caput), body (truncus), and tail
(cauda).
2. The characteristics of a lizard that is there substance to the horns along the
surface of his body, or the cauda tail, had its heart consists of two antrium and
ventricle.

3. The

respiratory system of lizard glottis, larynx, trachea, annular trachealis

(composed of trachea cartilage ring), broncus, branchiolus, bifurcatio trachea

4.

(branching trachea), and a pair of pulmo.

The digestive system includes lizards cavum oris, pharynx, oesophagus,

5.

ventricle, intestinum crasum, and Cloaca.

Lizard excretion system consists of the kidneys, ureters, vesica urinaria, and

6.

ends to the cloaca.

Male lizards have a hemipenis, has a pair of testes (testicles left higher than the
right side) while the lizard females have ovum.

B. Recomendations
The practical will be better if there are provided the sharp knife and scissor,
so it will use for dissect lizard properly and easily. Furthermore, it is needed more
time for do the lab work, so the practical didnt do in hurry and the lizard can
observed properly .
