The Work of the UK Wolf Trust

The UK Wolf Conservation Trust is a not for profit organisation formed in 1995 by
the late Roger Palmer who with his wife, Tsa, had previously kept wolves privately
for over 20 years, yet after their meeting with Erich Klinghammer in the USA,
Roger decided to form the trust to dispel the myths and misconceptions regarding
wolves. Now in its 15th year, and run predominantly by volunteer, it has grown
into the UK's leading organisation supporting projects world wide in aid of wolf
conservation, protection of habitats and awareness through education.
The trust, based in Berkshire, UK, is home to 8 ambassadors of both European and
North American stock, each living in small groups within large enclosures of
grassland, tree's and ponds making their spaces as natural as possible. These
wolves are excellent representatives of this beautiful and endangered species and
supporters and members can visit and walk and stroke these amiable creatures
who also attend schools, shows and colleges working to raise awareness and dis-
pel myths regarding these enigmatic animals.
The main focus of the trust is on education and they do not have breeding pro-
grammes, their wolves come from zoo's that have closed down or other enter-
prises that have these animals captive and for one reason or another wish to dis-
pose of them, so often ,they come as adults or abandoned pups.
Within their home environment they interact with their keepers and volunteer staff
to provide educational and conservational information to help the species remain-
ing in the wild. There is an onsite education centre equipped for school visits or
for individual members and supports to visit, this is not a centre open to the pub-
lic, although many college and university student have the opportunity to take
part in work placements and carry out non invasive studies, learning through ob-
servation, theoretical studies and practical hands on experience. Many are Vet
students researching dissertations towards degree's. Visits by school groups is
encouraged from as young as six years old and is very popular as well as the open
days, wolf keeper days, special walks and creative writing workshops , often run
by their patron Michelle Paver, author of the Wolf Brother series of books.
WolfPrint is their own magazine available for sale to the public or free to sponsors
and members, helping to keep everyone up to date with what's going on in the
lives of the wolves as well as projects concerning wolf conservation all around the
world.
The current families of wolves include Torak, Mai and Mosi - Canadian Timber Wolves,
Mosi & Mai came from DArtmoor zoo and Torak from the Anglian wolf society. Torak is of
course the name of the chief character in Michelle Pavers books. Then there is Duma &
Dakota, the elders of the wolves, they are North American Wolves, and are in retirement
now having lost the alpha male Kodiak, last year to Cancer and old age, he was 15 years
old.
The European pack are Latea and Lunca, with Alba their male. Alba survived a harrowing
broken neck injury after running into a tree whilst chasing his girls around, much love and
patience nursed him back to health and although he runs with a sideways steps, he is
practically back to full health now. A very lucky wolf indeed.
I had the pleasure of walking with Mosi and Mai last summer as well as another trip to
visit them on their open day and it is an experience like no other, these are magnificent
creatures that look deep into your soul and seem to read every part of you, it was the best
money I spent all year supporting this wonderful trust and my day with them will live on in
my heart forever.

THE ENCHANTMENT
By Cynthia Rodeawald-
Rodeawald-Grove
Copyright January, 2010

I awaken to the beckoning wind

On this January morn
Trees stripped naked of their foliage
Bare and torn
As their arms reach out in supplication
Beckoning for the promise of Springtime to hasten.

Old Man Winter is concocting his brew

Tis a brand new year, just right after the Yule
The Ice Queen is dusting the earth with silvery foil
And Nature seems to be resting, free from her toil.

Light snowflakes drift in the frigid wind

As the Sun hides himself behind the clouds, deep within
The Stars await their nocturnal return
Giving way to the daylight in a harrowing mourn.

Creatures huddle in nests or scurry for food

While inside we humans try to kindle the fuel
Outside its cold, and the Goddess unfolds
A blanket of Winter upon her creatures below.

So brew the mulled cider

Set spark to the log
With your visions and dreams from the past year foretold
Rest in Earth’s bosom and drink in her smile
Its Winter, be quiet
Tis what Nature desires.

Lemurian Crystals were found in Brazil in 1999 lying separate in a bed of sand, unattached to clusters
which is the normal way quartz points are found. Unusual as this is, the appearance of these crystals
is even more striking. They are not shiny, but have almost a frosted appearance, and many have a
pink glow.

They carry the vibrations of the "Pink Ray" and of the Lemurian Seed. It is said to have been planted
by Lemurian within the Earth, they have a specialized purpose. And can be used for movement
through the Grids, aligning Chakras, intuitive communication, to receive knowledge and information.
And aid in the ascension and enlightenment process.

About 12 million years ago there existed an advanced civilization somewhere between the American
continent and Australia. Lemurian was peaceful and highly developed spiritually.

During the last days of Lemuria, it was decided to plant seed crystals programmed to transmit a
message of oneness. Having seeded the crystals, the Lemurian, it is believed, left this planet for other
star systems. Others went into inner earth (while maintaining telepathic connection with those in
other parts of the galaxy, where they continue to care for the earth and the seed crystals now
surfacing.

The crystals are thus connected to inner earth, the earth's surface, and the stars, and serve as a link to
these various magnetic fields. Each seed crystal is energetically connected to all other seed crystals.

This connection is a living example of the message of the Lemurian seed crystals. Teaching us how to
be both individuals and integral parts of the cosmic design, that all beings are equal, and helping us to
maintain our connection with our spiritual source while in a physical body.

The striations, which to some observers have the appearance of being lasered onto the crystals,
contain this knowledge. Some ways to work with them are to hold one of the striated sides of the
crystal to the third eye. Another is to rub the index finger of your non-dominant had over the ridges.

To balance the Chakras put a crystal/stone on each chakra and rotate the Lemurian seed crystal in a
circle over each stone. There are a great many Crystal Healing books available with more detailed
instructions.

Information from Katrina Raphaell's, "Crystal Trilogy."

There is a responsibility with Lemurian Seed Crystals. They know who they belong with. If one selects you, you have
a responsibility to honor it and work with it. Each Lemurian Seed Crystal is home to many beings of light and
information. This is a gift given to us at this particular time on the Earth Plane and all we have to do is to open up to
use the higher frequencies that each Lemurian carries. This information was planted here on earth for our use at this
particular time.

The Lemurian's are here to assist us in remembering who we really are. They can be accessed through meditation, in
dreams (placed under your pillow). Or direct communication actually at any time (once you establish and open to the
link between you and your Lemurian Seed Crystal.

There are vast universes inside the Lemurians and each crystal has unique information. Each person who is drawn to
a Lemurian is actually already connected to this information and aligned with bringing in the higher frequencies of
information and light via healing, energy work, etc.

Connecting
Connecting to your Lemurian
It is as simple as saying hello to it and welcoming it. Thank your Lemurian for finding you and while you do this
connect with your heart chakra. Treating the Lemurian Seed Crystal as an honored being. Ask it to share its
information with you. This may come immediately or eventually it will be downloaded in dreams or visions or during
meditation. It will come to you.

Healing or Energy Work

After you have connected to the Lemurian Seed Crystal, hold it in your hand and ask it to assist you with your healing
work/energy work on this certain person for this particular task. You are essentially aligning with it to focus its energy
on a specific task. This is one of the jobs the Lemurian Seed Crystal's are here for and they happily do so.

Next, either long distance or in person, you can begin the energy/healing work by surrounding yourself with white
light and grounding yourself with an energy cord into mother earth.

Energetically connect with the individual to be worked on by visualizing them in your awareness (third eye area).

Ask all your angels, guides and masters to assist in this healing/energy work and ask this individuals angels, guides
and masters to assist as well.

Visualize white light streaming from the Lemurian Crystal to this person. You can hold the Lemurian at their crown
chakra or where ever you are drawn to do so. See the white light go into the body and see their energy body and
physical body as whole, with energy flowing perfectly. You can continue this until you feel complete. This could be as
short a time as 15 minutes or as long as 45 minutes. At some point during the healing energy work make this
statement to yourself "all blocks are now released. It is so - So Be IT". This directs the energy to flow completely with
no blocks.

Thank the angels, guides and masters for assisting you and thank your Lemurian Seed Crystal for its assistance with
this healing/energy work. If you continued to do healing/energy work you will receive your own guidance on what to
do for each person and you will alter the healing work for each one.

If you are reading this then you are connected to the Lemurian Seed Crystals already. It would be my greatest joy for
everyone to gain the confidence to do this work. It is much needed now Lemurian's are extremely high frequency
and should not be worn on the body when not in use.
use It is best to not let others handle your Lemurian as you will
have to re-align it to do the healing/energy work each time some one other than you touches it.

Sometimes we look at the actions of others and find it difficult to understand what
motivates them. But we are all doing the best we can with the information we
currently have. We have all been taught how to see the world from the examples of
those around us and by our experiences. Keeping this in mind, we can accept the
choices made by others while seeking ways to increase the world’s level of
consciousness as a whole.

Our different levels of consciousness are like the developmental stages of children,
whose understanding varies according to their age and experience. For example, the
behavior of a two-year-old who doesn’t want to share can be understood as a phase of
his social education, whereas a 16-year-old who behaves in the same manner would
be thought to be acting childish. It is important to remember that we are each on our
own unique path. We may have chosen certain lessons or made an agreement to play
certain roles in the unfolding of the world’s understanding before we incarnated in this
lifetime. So our job is not to judge others but to shift the balance of understanding in
the world by increasing our own.

Every thought we have and action we take becomes part of the collective energy of
the planet. When we use our energy to bring light into the world, it combines with the
light brought by others to dispel the darkness. Though we live in a world of duality,
which helps us to experience the material plane, we don’t need to experience
extremes to understand them. We can share our experiences and understanding with
others not from a place of condescension but of connection. When the entire family of
humanity understands that each of our thoughts, choices, and actions affect us all, we
will share an incredible level of consciousness—one that puts our oneness above all
else and helps us evolve into higher expressions of our spiritual selves. Remember the
next time you witness an action of another that they are of the same earth as you but
simply on a different conscious level at this point in their life. Find compassion, bless
them, and move along your day in grace. Namaste, Miguel

All sounds, from a whisper to a classical symphony, arise out of silence and disappear into
silence. But silence is always there beneath sound and is the space where sound can exist. We
tend to think of silence as the absence of sound, but silence has its own weight and quality.
When you listen to silence, you can perceive its intense depth and power. Taking the time to
experience silence calms the mind and rejuvenates the body. Silence is the void where we can
hear the many sounds that we often ignore - the voice of our intuition telling us the truth, the
sound of the breeze blowing, the hum of the radiator, and the noises we make just because we
are alive.

One way to experience silence is to wake up before the rest of the world has come alive. Try not
to move into activity, and leave off the lights, radio, and television. Sit still and simply listen. You
may hear your heartbeat or your breath, but keep your attention tuned to the silence that
surrounds you. Stay this way for as long as you can, and allow the sound of silence to penetrate
your body until it moves into your core. Feel the gentle, pulsing waves of silence and allow it to
cleanse you. Five minutes of communing with silence can leave you feeling vibrant and
connected to the universe.

At night, choose a moment after everyone around you has retired and tune in to silence. You can
also experience silence throughout the day. Even in the midst of activity, moments of silence are
always present. Usually we ignore or feel nervous around silence and try to fill these moments
with sound. Yet silence is always there - vast, potent, and available for us to step into any time
we choose.

IMBOLC: A TRUE STORY
Excerpted from the book A Witch Like Me copyright (c) 2010,

Janus Laughingbear Blume

Sunshine poured through the February day like light refracted through fine crystal.

On the central coast of California there is no snow to melt or ice to break as a signal that winter
is ending. Instead, nature practices for her post-equinox splendor with a dress rehearsal that sometimes
surpasses the actual performance. It was Imbolc, the day halfway between Winter Solstice and Vernal
Equinox, the Neo-Pagan celebration of growing light. Winter weather wasn’t over, but from this day on,
it would fight a losing battle. Days would become visibly longer as they approached the tipping point of
the equinox, the one day of equal light and dark.

Robynne was now six; she bounded down the back steps of the mobile home we shared.

“Just five minutes,” I said. “We’re going out.”

It had been unexpectedly difficult to connect with other Pagans in our new town. They were
stories about this or that group only to have the conversation end with, “But I don’t think they’re
around anymore.” Once in a while they would overhear snippets of conversation about “…an awesome
ritual…” and coupled with the name of a coven or circle, but only in circumstances where it would have
been very rude to butt in.

That day in early February I was longing for community and group ritual. I looked at my altar.
The mobile home had a built-in china cabinet in the dining area. There was mirrored shelf where I had
placed symbols of the God and the Goddess and the four cardinal directions. Other items that felt
sacred were added as time went by, but now it looked dusty and cluttered.

I lit a candle. Robert walked up to me.

“It’s a holiday for me,” I said, “But it makes me sad that I don’t have anybody to celebrate with.
I really wish I could find a circle or something. Anything.”

In the yard Robynne celebrated the crisp, sunny day. She noticed how the bare plants bore
swelling buds. The grasses were a vibrant shade of green that spoke of recent rains.

Then she heard something. She listened very carefully, not sure at first what she was hearing.

It was the sound of voices—joyful, energetic, and not quite human. It was a sound that only the
very pure of heart could hear, the sound that had led the ancients to set aside this cross-quarter day
between Winter Solstice and Vernal Equinox. It was the day for breeding lambs in anticipation of spring.
It would eventually become Ground Hog Day, the day that predicted how soon winter would end. The
child heard the sound and knew exactly what it was.
I had not taught her about this day. What she knew came to her un-coached, unexpected,
and as innocent as her own essence.

With a touch of melancholy I extinguished her candle. Robert and I walked out the front
door and down the steps toward the car.

“Come on. We have to go now,” I called.

Robynne came leaping, skipping, and running excitedly toward us.

“I heard them. They’re back!” she exclaimed.

“What? What are you talking about?” we asked.

“The spirits. I heard them. The spirits are coming back to the garden.”

My heart skipped a beat. It took a few seconds to process what my daughter had said.

“Do you know what day this is?” I asked.

She shook her head.

“This is Imbolc, the day we celebrate spring getting ready to come back. It’s the day that
the spirits come back to the garden. How did you know that?”

“Well, I heard them” Robynne said the child, with the matter-of-fact sincerity that only the
very young can express.

All would unfold in due time. We would become part of Greenheart Grove, quite a cozy
coven, indeed, thank you. We would meet many local Pagans, and feel at home in a number of
circles. All of that would take years to happen but from that Imbolc day on, we would share an
expanded appreciation of the mysteries and possibilities available on this new found pathway to
the Goddess.

It can be sweet and shocking at the same time when that less solid but more real
dimension manifests and speaks to you, when the longings of the soul are heard, when
confirmation is sought and received, particularly when the revelation comes through your own
young child!

When the spirits come back to the garden.

From the Archives of the Enchanted Forest

Native American Code Of Ethics

By Medicine Fox From the blogs of September
1. Each morning upon rising, and each evening before sleeping, give thanks for the life within
you and for all life, for the good things the Creator has given you and for the opportunity to
grow a little more each day. Consider your thoughts and actions of the past day and seek for
the courage and strength to be a better person. Seek for the things that will benefit others
(everyone).

2. Respect. Respect means "To feel or show honor or esteem for someone or something; to
consider the well being of, or to treat someone or something with deference or courtesy".
Showing respect is a basic law of life.

a. Treat every person from the tiniest child to the oldest elder with respect at all times.

b. Special respect should be given to Elders, Parents, Teachers, and Community Leaders.

c. No person should be made to feel "put down" by you; avoid hurting other hearts as you
would avoid a deadly poison.

d. Touch nothing that belongs to someone else (especially Sacred Objects) without
permission, or an understanding between you.

e. Respect the privacy of every person, never intrude on a person's quiet moment or
personal space.

f. Never walk between people that are conversing.

g. Never interrupt people who are conversing.

h. Speak in a soft voice, especially when you are in the presence of Elders, strangers or others to whom
special respect is due.

i. Do not speak unless invited to do so at gatherings where Elders are present (except to ask what is
expected of you, should you be in doubt).

j. Never speak about others in a negative way, whether they are present or not.

k. Treat the earth and all of her aspects as your mother. Show deep respect for the mineral world, the
plant world, and the animal world. Do nothing to pollute our Mother, rise up with wisdom to defend her.

l. Show deep respect for the beliefs and religion of others.

m. Listen with courtesy to what others say, even if you feel that what they are saying is worthless. Listen
with your heart.

n. Respect the wisdom of the people in council. Once you give an idea to a council meeting it no
longer belongs to you. It belongs to the people. Respect demands that you listen intently to the
ideas of others in council and that you do not insist that your idea prevail. Indeed you should freely
support the ideas of others if they are true and good, even if those ideas ideas are quite different
from the ones you have contributed. The clash of ideas brings forth the Spark of Truth.

3. Once a council has decided something in unity, respect demands that no one speak secretly
against what has been decided. If the council has made an error, that error will become apparent to
everyone in its own time.

4. Be truthful at all times, and under all conditions.

5. Always treat your guests with honor and consideration. Give of your best food, your best
blankets, the best part of your house, and your best service to your guests.

6. The hurt of one is the hurt of all, the honor of one is the honor of all.

7. Receive strangers and outsiders with a loving heart and as members of the human family.

8. All the races and tribes in the world are like the different colored flowers of one meadow. All are
beautiful. As children of the Creator they must all be respected.

9. To serve others, to be of some use to family, community, nation, and the world is one of the main
purposes for which human beings have been created. Do not fill yourself with your own affairs and
forget your most important talks. True happiness comes only to those who dedicate their lives to
the service of others.

10. Observe moderation and balance in all things.

11. Know those things that lead to your well-being, and those things that lead to your destruction.

12. Listen to and follow the guidance given to your heart. Expect guidance to come in many forms;
in prayer, in dreams, in times of quiet solitude, and in the words and deeds of wise Elders and
friends.

Together again
By Chayenna

In all the lives we had together,

we never saw our real connection
In the love we feel for each other
We never saw who we really are.
Just in our separation,
We become aware of the unconditional love,
that we shared together.
Just in our separation,
We feel the oneness in our self, and in each other.
Just in our separation,
All times, spaces, and shapes becomes one.
Just in our separation,
We can let go the past, and in the now moment
We create a new path
That will bring us to the future.

The Little Angel in the Under World
By Chayenna

The moment that the Little Angel left the forest, and fly to the new land that she had discovered on
one of her flights, she still felt fear. On her flight she think back to all her friends that she left behind,
friends who always were there, to play with, friends that helps her with her wounds when she crash
again to a tree when she try to land. All the friends that have learn her so much in the time that she
lives there. They had give her so much trust, faith and believe back in her self, It was not easy for the
Little Angel to leave this safe place, and go to an world that she didn’t know. But like always the Little
Angel was very curious how it will be, when she changed into a princess.

In one of the many flight that she had make outside the forest she met a prince, and he told her
about his world. A world full of love, joy, and happiness. A world that the little angel only knows
inside of her, and for so long she was searching for that world here on earth. Sometimes she had see
a glimpse of it, but never it exist long. Every time that world disappear again, and the Little Angel
stay behind in the Middle world, with only her dreams en hope that one day she really find her home
world. That one day she will be really reunited with her brothers and sisters, and with the one she
loves the most, her real Dragon.
When the Little Angel arrived in the new land, the prince told her that she can’t not longer keep her
wings when she wanted to become a real princess. For a moment she felt doubts, never before she
was without her wings, and she saw also his wings, so why must put her wings off. He told her that
she can’t go into his world with her wings, because it scared to many people of. So the Little Angel
take off her wings, but she hide for the prince the light sword that shadow had given her. When she
turn back to her prince she saw how happy he was, and he said to her: “Now you are my little
princess, and we can go into my world.”.

The world didn’t look so much different from the other worlds that she had visit before. And even
that everyone had cut there wings, didn’t make that she didn’t recognised the light deep inside of
them. The first days she enjoyed the new place, but more and more her prince told her that her
behave was still to much as a Angel. Every time he told her what she must do, how she must reacted
as a princess, and the little angel feels very sad in it. She try so hard but never the prince was
satisfied. The world around her becomes more and more dark

Every day the little princess walks outside in the woods, that reminds her so to her place in the
forest.
There she feel connected with her friends in the Forest, when a little breeze touch her skin, when she
saw her own shadow it reminds her how safe she felt with him. She listen to the song of the moon
who dry her tears, Even she felt her Dragon so close around her, and for ones she saw the shape of
her dragon in the middle world. That makes her more sad and confused.
But all l gives her the strength to stay. More and more she becomes aware of the world of her
Princes, and see how many people are just stuck in that world. It makes her sad but also very angry.
One day when her princes told her again that she must hide her light, she refuse and takes her wings
back, and with that also her light sword.
She told him that she don’t want any longer play the role of a princes in that world, and that she
don’t allow it anymore that he keeps others in that world. The prince notice that he had lost this
game and try to throw her out his world so he could stay safe in that world for him self. It didn’t work
now the Little Angel had her power back. In the days that follow the little Angel bring more and more
her light in that world. Until the moment she felt deep inside the message to leave

The Little Angel return to the Forest in the middle world. But the adventure had makes also that the
Little aAgel had many wounds. The first one she meet in the forest was her dragon and that makes
her very happy. But then the sadness came back. She had wait so many years of him, and every time
they must separated again. The only desire that the Little Angel had was to return to her home
world.
She had lost all her faith and trust that she now really can be with her Dragon and that the dream
that she carry so long inside will become true. Both started now to talk about the experience they
had in the Middle World, and there is still a lot things that they have to share in that. But deep inside
started again a little flame of hope, that this time the little angel can return to her home world
together with her dragon.

~~ ISIS ~~
Mistress of Magic:
Isis (called "Aset" by the Egyptians), a daughter of Nut and Geb, is known in Ancient Egyptian
mythology as a goddess of magic. Wife and sister of Osiris, Isis was originally considered a funerary
goddess. After her resurrection via magic of Osiris, who had been killed by his brother Set, Isis was
considered "more powerful than a thousand soldiers" and "the clever-tongued one whose speech
never fails." She is sometimes invoked as an assistant in magical rituals in contemporary Wicca.

The Love of Isis and Osiris:

Isis and her brother, Osiris, were recognized as husband and wife. Isis loved Osiris, but their brother
Set (or Seth) was jealous of Osiris, and planned to kill him. Set tricked Osiris and murdered him, and
Isis was highly distraught. She found Osiris' body within a great tree, which was used by the Pharoah
in his palace. She brought Osiris back to life, and the two of them concieved Horus.

Depiction of Isis in Art and Literature:

Because Isis' name means, literally, "throne" in the Ancient Egyptian language, she is usually
represented with a throne as a depiction of her power. She is often shown holding a lotus as well.
After Isis was assimilated with Hathor, she was sometimes depicted with the twin horns of a cow on
her head, with a solar disc between them.

Beyond Egypt's Borders:

Isis was at the center of a cult that spread far beyond Egypt's boundaries. The Romans were aware
of the cult's existence, but it was frowned upon by many of the ruling class. The emporer Augustus
(Octavian) decreed that worship of Isis was forbidden as part of his attempt to return Rome to
Roman gods. For some Roman worshippers, Isis was absorbed into the cult of Cybele, which held
bloody rites in honor of their mother goddess. The cult of Isis moved as far afield as ancient Greece,
and was known as a mystery tradition among the Hellenes until it was banned by Christianity
around the sixth century c.e.

Goddess of Fertility and Motherhood:

In addition to being the fertile wife of Osiris, Isis is honored for her role as the mother of Horus, one
of Egypt's most powerful gods. She was also the divine mother of every pharoah of Egypt, and
ultimately of Egypt itself. She assimilated with Hathor, another goddess of fertility, and is often
depicted nursing her son Horus. There is a wide belief that this image served as inspiration for the
classic Christian portait of the Madonna and Child.
Goddess of Magic:
After Ra created all things, Isis tricked him by creating a serpent which ambushed Ra on his daily
journey across the heavens. The serpent bit Ra, who was powerless to undo the poison. Isis
announced that she could heal Ra from the poison and destroy the serpent, but would only do so if
Ra revealed his True Name as payment. By learning his True Name, Isis was able to gain power over
Ra.

Goddess of Death and Rebirth:

After Set murdered and dismembered Osiris, Isis used her magic and power to bring her husband
back to life. The realms of life and death are often associated with both Isis and her faithful sister
Nephthys, who are depicted together on coffins and funerary texts. They are usually shown in their
human form, with the addition of the wings that they used to shelter and protect Osiris.

Isis for a Modern Age:

Isis and Gardnerian Wicca

The Order of the Golden Dawn, founded by Aleister Crowley, recognized Isis as a powerful triple
goddess and as such, she was passed down to modern Wicca when it was founded by Gerald
Gardner.

Kemetic Wicca is a variation of Gardnerian Wicca that follows an Egyptian pantheon. Some Kemetic
groups focus on the trinity of Isis, Orsiris and Horus and utilize prayers and spells found the ancient
Egyptian [Book of the Dead.

Other Isiac Traditions

A number of contemporary Pagan traditions have adopted Isis as their patron Goddess and she is
often found at the heart of Dianic Wiccan groups and other female-centered covens. Although
modern Wiccan worship does not follow the same structure as the ancient Egyptian ceremonies
that were once used to honor Isis, today's Isiac covens incorporate Egyptian lore and mythology into
a Wiccan framework, bringing the knowledge and worhsip of Isis into a contemporary setting.

In addition to these widely recognized traditions, there are countless eclectic Wiccan groups
throughout the world that have selected Isis as their deity. Because of the strength and power
displayed by Isis, spiritual paths that honor her are popular among many Pagans and Wiccans who
are seeking alternatives to traditional patriarchal religious structures. Worship of Isis has seen a
resurgence as part of the "Goddess-oriented" spirituality that has become a notable part of the New
Age movement.
