2004 to December 2006
Worked as a Bar waiter in tapas & International cocktail bar at Cinnamon lakeside
hotel, Colombo
RESPONSIBILITIES
Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making
recommendation upon request,
Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking
methods, Check patrons' identification in order to ensure that they meet
minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages,
Collect payment from customers,
Write patrons' food order on order slips, memorize orders, or enter ordes in to
computers for transmittal to kitchen staff,
Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take
action to correct any problems,
Serve food and beverages to patrons, prepare and serve specially dishes at
tables as required,
Prepare checks that itemize and total meals cost and sales taxes,
Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for
cleaning, Clear tables and counters after patrons have finished dining,
Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
