Software installation
Insert disc into 3,5" disc drive.
In folder "DOS Software" you will find the following .exe files:
-

mot_op1.exe
mot_op2.exe

The "mot_op1.exe" is selected if Com1 port of your PC / laptop is used to link to the RS232 port of the
ignition control unit.
The "mot_op2.exe" is selected if Com2 port of your PC / laptop is used to link to the RS232 port of the
ignition control unit.
Copy the selected file onto your hard disc.

Operation
Execute the selected file and a warning message will be displayed. Read carefully and ensure that
you have read and understood the user manual of the ignition control unit.
When ready, press any key.
Now the main screen will appear when the control unit is connected to 24 VDC.

Press "shift and H" and you will have displayed:

software revision number
running hours of the ignition control unit

C: cylinder to cylinder timing adjustment

The F1 to F5 keys have their functions as listed on the screen and above. To leave this program
function press "ESC".

E: energy level adjustment

The F1 to F5 keys have their functions as listed on the screen and above. To leave this program
function press "ESC".

M: misfiring detection
A list of output wires is displayed. Only the number of wires which are in use for the application are
marked with "1" underneath the letters.
When misfiring occurs in the primary circuit, a "0" will appear under the particular cylinder letter code,
which indicates the failure.
At the same time the total amount of misfirings per second is displayed.
To leave this program function press "ESC".

Programming of engine parameters

Any engine parameters can be changed prior to installation and start up or later. Changes can not be
set when engine is in operation.
To enter the programming mode press "ESC", enter your password and press "Enter".
You now reached the parameter level.
Press "F2" to display all programmable parameters. Please refer to the user manual of the ignition
control unit for further instructions.
When ready to leave this level press "ESC".
You now reached the main screen again. Ignition is ready.

End program
To leave the program press F10.
