Dear Prospective Candidate,
APPLICATION FOR TATUCA 2016 SCHOLARSHIP GRANT AWARD
The Trinidad and Tobago United Community Association Inc. (TATUCA) is soliciting applications for 2016
Scholarship Grant Awards for students who were born, or progenies of parents born in Trinidad and Tobago.
Interested students who are currently enrolled in college/certified trade school should submit a completed
application with the following attachments.
At least two pieces of acceptable and verifiable letters of recommendation and documentation supporting
the need for the scholarship e.g. bursars statement, rent receipts and or utility bills.
High school/vocational/trade school/college transcripts
Statement of long range career goals, and personal interests.
Any other information which will enhance your application.
Applicant should focus on financial challenges, family background, present living situation etc.
A biographical sketch and recent passport photo.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must be a full time college/trade/vocational school student in the USA
Applicant must be completing/have completed at least 20 credits towards either an
Associates or Bachelors Degree (or equivalent for trade/vocational school)
Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better at the end of the Spring Semester
Please note that only students pursuing an undergraduate (first degree) will be considered
Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview on July 27, 2016 and be present at the
Scholarship Awards Presentation on August 20, 2016 at Antuns 96-43 Springfield Boulevard, Queens, New
York.
