What are the integral aspects required for the assessment and evaluation components of your
technology plan technology plain.
A plan is not yet considered good when it is fully executed and proven right.In the
process of planning, teachers will face with many constrain that would limit their choices and
steps to be taken. After conducting ICT integrated lessons teachers need to reflect their learning
experiences of the ICT integration. The reflection should focus on the appropriateness of the
technology being used, the strength and weaknesses of the technology and how to improve. The
suggestion might include alternative technology, new way of instruction in class, activities in
class and assessment approaches.
For an example,all school in Malaysia are required to used online learning platform
called VLE-Frog.Teachers uses this site to teach students,to assess students performance and to
have online communication with students and share knowledge with other teacher around the
country.A proper planning should be carry out from each school in order to optimize the usage of
VLE-Frog.Each school will have their own internal policy and schedule for teachers when to use
the online plateform.When the plan is carried out,monitoring takes pelce after that.Then the
evaluation and assessment comes after that.Assessment and evaluation take place at the end of a
year,end of a month and even end of each month depends on what is required by the school
policies.
One of the main aspects in evaluating technology plan is to determine the technology
used in the integration is appropriate with the students and teacher or not. Some school they used
very advance technology in class, some moderate school use mild advance technology in
teaching and leaning.For Technical School,the teacher and students need to used hi-end computer
and laptop because they need to run advance engineering software that required hi-speed
processor and bigger RAM. While normal daily school need only up to date computer and it is
acceptable if it can run internet smoothly and play animations online. Therefore ,in evaluating
the appropriateness of technology integration, the school vision and mission should be taken into
account in order to measure the outcome whether fulfill the mission and vision or not.
The next important element in evaluating is to determine the strength and the weaknesses
of the technology being integrated in school. For example, in the early stages of implementation
of VLE-frog ,Ministry Of Education (MOE) received mixed reactions by teachers and students
toward the online site.The interface of the site was not user friendly but then it was improved.In
school,facilities that have been bought should be evaluated to determine the strength and the
weaknesses.This is because the it involves cost benefit analysis and cost effective analysis for the
school ict expendicture.If there are too many weaknesses on the technology compared to its
strength ,it should terminated and school leader need to look for another alternatives.

Evaluation other main important element is considering feedback. The feedback might
come from teacher, administrator, students, parent and policy makers. Every feedback should be
taken seriously especially when it comes to policy and money matters. After feedback is
analyzed and the problem is identified, then steps could be taken to improve the plan and the
policy.The main important source of feedback is the teacher.Teacher can suggest the alterative
technology can be used is school and also new way of pedagogical knowledge that can be
integrated in class teaching and learning process. A smooth evaluation process results in
improving school technology plan effectively .
As the conclusion,evaluation and assessment involves determining the appropriateness of
technology being implemented in scholl, strength and weaknesses analysis and also considering
feedback from all participants involve directly or indirectly with school plan and policy,
