error, and adversely affect AIG's risk exposure, cash flow and overall underwriting profitability. To solve
these problems, REFE system was developed using J2EE-based CAFÉ (proprietary MVC) framework.

Architectural & Design Consultant  - Review/Enhancement of Architecture and Design of Peerless


Integrated Information System (PIIS) developed for Peerless General Finance and Investment Company
Limited -Tata Consultancy Services, Kolkata, India (Feb 03 – Jul 03) – Peerless General Finance and
Investment Company Limited, with a vast infrastructure and a country wide network of over 160 Business
Centers and seven regional offices, runs MF COBOL based application developed on SCO UNIX at its
branches and corporate. One integrated J2EE based application was architected & designed to replace
existing manual-driven processes & system. The scope of current review was to verify correctness of
design and architecture adopted for the proposed J2EE application, and to enhance scalability of system.

Project Manager / Designer - Migration of Mainframe based Insurance Package Service Monitoring
System (SMS) to Web based Work Tracking System (WTS) for American International Group (AIG),
NY - Tata Consultancy Services, Kolkata, India (Apr 02 – Jan 03) – TCS reengineered Mainframe based
Insurance package Service Monitoring System (SMS) - redeveloped its functionality within Web based
Work Tracking System (WTS) Application. SMS was an Insurance application which was used to update
policy issuance/release data in real time. Separate task was taken to migrate WTS, Claims systems from
NAS (ver 4) to WAS (Ver 4.0).

NaviSys Home Office™ for SunAmerica Inc. - Tata Consultancy Services, Edison, NJ, USA (Nov 01 – Mar
02) – Participated in design and development of Navisys Products. NaviSys Front Office™ was a
comprehensive solution set for distributing, selling and servicing life and annuity products. NaviSys Home
Office™ was an integrated back-office solution for configuring and administering life and annuity (fixed
and variable) products. I used Windows NT, Java/JSP/Servlet/EJB, C++, CORBA (Orbix), Oracle 8i.

Project Manager - CQAS Applications for Citibank N.A., Tokyo - Tata Consultancy Services, Kolkata, India
(Aug 00 – Oct 01) – The Country Control unit of Citibank N.A., Tokyo, under Japan Operations and
Technology (O&T), wanted to reengineer its E-Business Quality and Process applications - Centralized
Quality Assurance System (CQAS) - to develop Web based (Java) intranet Banking application. The
applications were developed to monitor and track automated Control functions of the bank existing due
to its various policies.

Senior Project Manager – Saint-Gobain account - Wipro Technologies, Kolkata, India (Jun 05 – Oct 06) –
Initiated and managed Saint-Gobain account for Wipro Technologies. I handled multiple Identity
Management and security application development projects & implementation for the account e.g., User
and Resource Provisioning, Group & Physical Provisioning, NHE (Non Human Entity) Provisioning etc. User
and Resource creation were managed by provisioning tool “Meibo”, whereas relevant User Role access,
workflow management and business rule implementation were handled by Sun Identity Manager’s inbuilt
xml-based workflow management features. Other tools / technical components used were Sun One LDAP
Server (Group Directory), Oracle 8i database, Tomcat Application Server, SPML Adapter (SIM-to-SIM
communication), Web Services etc.

Project Manager / Designer - MATIP protocol development for Air India - Skytech Solutions Pvt Ltd,
Kolkata, India (May 04 – May 05) – Managed Air India account for Skytech; Air India planned to migrate
from legacy communication architecture (comprising of SITA 1024 transport protocol for transmitting
IATA HOST-to-HOST messages between Air India and different Customer Reservation Systems e.g.,
Amadeus, Sabre etc) to TCP transport protocol of the TCP/IP protocol suite. This was to obviate need for
special services from network service provider SITA and proprietary data communication equipment from
UNISYS. Migration included developing MATIP Protocol and Host-to-Host Validation Layers with TELNET.

Designer / Developer - Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) development for Lucent Technologies, IL, US
– Tata Consultancy Services, Naperville, IL, USA, (Apr 96 – Dec 97) – I participated in design and
development of Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) product called Advanced Network Services (ANS) i.e.,
development of components Service Creation Environment (SCE), Service Control Point (SCP), Service
Node (SN) etc. These products provide capability for flexible service creation and deployment to
telephone service providers within shorter time frame across entire LATA (Local Access and Transport
Area).

At offshore I worked as designer and developer of application Flexible Network Routing (FNR-II) which was
one in the series of applications used for call processing, interacting with 5ESS switch and Service Control
Point (SCP). It supported features DAL (Direct Access Line), NCD (Network Call Denial), RA (Remote
Access), OCS (Outgoing Call Screening), SDNS (Subscriber Dialed Number Screening), BC (Block Call) etc.

Designer / Developer – Service Order Language Data Services (S.O.L.D.S.) for USWEST TECHNOLOGIES,
CO, US - Tata Consultancy Services, Denver, CO, USA (Sep'94 - Jan'95) – Scope was to translate Customer
Service Orders from a Service Order semantic to Customer Service Database (CSDB) semantic and vice
versa. SOLDS process receives a Service Order object from the ODS translator, then each logical line of
service order is processed by Driver and Parser to feed data in CIO Object (Customer Information Object
of domain object model). From CIO Object, data goes to CSDBMO Object, which is comprised of many
objects and represents the physical layout of parts of the collection of Oracle relational databases that
comprise the CSDB. CSDB is populated from CSDBMO object.

Product Development / Program Manager - Systems Build and Update Utility 1.0/1.1 - Dell India,
Bangalore, India (Oct ’06 – Oct ‘ 08) – Managed architecture, design, development, release and
maintenance of first V1.0 software product release from Dell Bangalore - Dell Systems Build and Update
Utility (SBUU) 1.0. SBUU 1.0 is a standalone bootable server deployment product, operates in both preOS
and postOS environments, supports features e.g., upgrading firmware versions of servers to Dell
recommended levels, upgrading Hardware configuration (RAID/RAC/BMC/BIOS) of servers, facilitate OS
installation (different flavors of Linux, Windows & VMWare) on the servers by supplying Dell
recommended specific drivers etc. Later I also managed SBUU 1.1 product design, development & testing
as well as enhancement of Dell Deployment Toolkit (DTK) and Server Update Utility (SUU).

various locations within and outside India, TCS needed its own Intranet for its internal operational use.
The target intranet environment was to be an integrated environment which could support various
features like Integrated mailing, running uniform homogenous applications across all the branches etc.
Among the workflow applications several were Leave Application, LTA Application, HIS, HRA, Travel
Booking, TQ Booking, Stores Management, Internal Accounts expenditure and reimbursement

searching, Scenario sequencing, Object Behavior Analysis (OBA) and Object Interaction scripting. In Design

Consultancy Services, Kolkata, India (May 92 – Jan 93) - Assignment involved conversion of 24
applications of Eurovision and General Management areas in Mainframe environment (IBM 4361) to
functionally equivalent ones under VAX environment (VAX 6530). Source environment comprised of
