Instructions:
The players should repeat their patterns while following the tempi markings, indicated in the score by arrows. Here, tempi is thought
of as relative to the other voice. A typical tempi marking might indicate that the player is to accelerate from eight-notes against the
other players quater-notes to triplets against the other players quarter-notes. At the end of a transition, when the new tempi
relationship has been reached, the player should then move on to the new note pattern.
