ELIGIBILITY, RIGHTS & FEES
Eligibility for Membership:
Student : Any individual who is currently on the roll of a recognised college or media institute
conducting full time academic/professional courses will be eligible for admission as a Student Member.
Ordinary / Life : Any person or organisation that has produced or directed one or more Documentary,
Short Film, Video or TV film will be eligible and , in accordance with the provisions of the Rules
and Regulations of IDPA may be admitted by the Executive Committee as a Ordinary/Life Member.
Associate: Any person aspiring to produce, or direct a short film or documentary; any person actively involved in the process of
making a short film or documentary such as a writer, an editor, a cameraperson,
a voice over artiste or an assistant will be eligible for admission as Associate Member of the Association.
Rights of Admission Reserved :
Every application for membership will be placed before the Executive Committee for its consideration.
The Executive Committee reserves the right to accept or reject the application for membership without assigning any reason.
Voting and other Rights of Members : While Ordinary Members and Life Members of the Association will be entitled to
vote, Propose or Second new members, stand for elections and hold office; Associate and Student Members will have no such
entitlements.
Fees Payable: Subject to the approval of the Executive Committee, an individual can be admitted as
an Ordinary, Life, Associate or Student Member on payment of such entrance fees and
such Annual Subscription fees as the Managing Committee may fix from time to time.
* The annual subscription for every official year (1st April to 31st March of the following year)
shall be due and payable on or before the 15th April every year. Full Annual Subscription will be
payable whether the membership is enjoyed for a full year or part thereof.
* Subscription paid by the member shall not be refundable for any reason whatsoever.
Applications to be accompanied by a crossed cheque or demand draft payable at Mumbai
* One time Entrance fee of Rs. 2000/- plus Rs.800/- towards annual subscription for Ordinary Membership.
* One time Entrance fee of Rs. 2000/- plus Rs.600/- towards annual subscription for Associate Membership.
* Once in a Lifetime fee of Rs. 9500/- for Life Membership.
* One time Entrance fee of Rs. 100/- plus Rs.150/- towards annual subscription for Student Membership.
Cheque/Draft to be drawn in favour of ‘Indian Documentary Producers Association’
payable at Mumbai. Please insist on a receipt for payment made and preserve the same.
Separate application form available for Ordinary/Life/Associate members.
