atransitionplantoallowIslamicbankstocompletetheprocessby30
June2015(twoyearperiodfromtheenactmentofIFSA).

byPerbadananInsuransAmMalaysia(PIDM)?

Duringthistransition
period,alltheIslamicdepositsundertherepealedIBAwillremain
statusquoandcontinuetobeeligibleforPIDMprotectionuntilthe
completionofthetransitionplanbytherespectiveIslamicbanks.After
thetransition,IslamicdepositsundertheIFSAwillremaineligiblefor
PIDMprotection.

6.Willthereturnsandbenefits
remainaftertheconversion?

Islamicbankswillbe
engagingtheircustomersinprovidinginformationandclarificationon
thetransitionaswellasthedepositsandinvestmentproducts
available.
Islamicbankswillalso
providealternativesoroptionstocustomertomeettheirriskappetite

eitherretaintheirplacementsinIslamicdepositormigrateto
investmentaccounts.

institutionswillallowsufficienttimeforthecustomerstoinformthem
oftheirdecision.
