Dream one.

The outline.

It all started with a dream that was too vivid to be

an ordinary nightmare. I was talking to an entity
that claimed to be from the near future. Exactly
when was not answered. But his visit came like
the ghost in Dickens’s Christmas Carol. The entity
claimed to be a person who represented one of the
billions that were murdered by a new dictator that
was far worse than Adolf Hitler. This would be the
first of a series of dreams that I would see. I was
to write these down each morning after I wake up.

I decided to record of these dreams and publish

them on the internet as short stories. Since they
would be perceived as fantasy or science fiction I
would not get myself in trouble because no one
would believe it will ever happen like “in my
dreams”.

The War.

It started with the Iranian conspiracy. The new

dictator of Iran which had secretly developed an
atom bomb now reacted to the world’s displeasure
by threatening the neighboring Moslem states if
the did not ally with him against Israel they would
be attacked and bombed. Most did, including Libya,
Sudan, and that included the formally Soviet states
that were mostly Moslem. Then a propaganda war
started. The exceptions were Saudi Arabia and its
neighboring states, Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan.
Israel was supported by the US, NATO, China, and

Russia (a new NATO member).

Then a reactor in Iran, (one that was used to make

the materials for the bomb) blew up. Radiation and
the meltdown killed thousands. Israel and the US
were blamed. Iran and its allies claimed US stealth
technology and bunker buster bombs were given to
Israel and they used it to bomb the reactor. Israel
claimed that it was just the accident caused by
design flaws similar to the Chernobyl disaster. Or,
that Iran destroyed it so the war they had been
planning would start.

Israel mobilized and its allies also prepared. But

every one thought this would be just another of the
series of middle east wars like 1967, or 1973. Until
Jerusalem was bombed and the Temple of the rock
was flattened. Now it was a Holy War. The Moslem
armies started moving and got to a valley in Israel;
then the atom bombs went off. The Moslem armies
and the lands where the came from were
devastated. Israel was again victorious. But the
radiation spread across the world causing more
wars, disease, hunger, fear, riots, and death so
that billions died and others just vanished.

The Leader.

To quell this worldwide disaster a leader emerged

out of Europe. He promised peace and law, order,
and prosperity. His program was to rule the earth
as a dictator with all nations being subject to him.
This way all these wars and the rebellions would
cease. With starvation facing many because of
contaminated crops and the economic collapse
caused by the war and subsequent disasters there

was little opposition.

Once in power, he made a treaty with Israel, giving
it control of the countries that attacked them, so
they could clean up the mess. Also they were
given the right to build their temple after they
removed the remains of the Dome of the Rock. His
next plan was to reorganize the nations into ten
conglomerated groups based on geography.
All abandoned property was confiscated and sold
to new owners. This would help pay for the
reconstruction of the damage caused by the wars,
riots, and the people who disappeared. What
caused this disappearance was put off as nuclear
incineration, alien abductions, alien rescues of
humans before mankind destroyed itself, or
something else such as orbiting laser weapons, or
new secret weapons that incinerated people
leaving no trace.
The next thing on his agenda was the destruction
of all religious systems. Since it was these
religions that caused that horrible war, they should
all be suppressed and replaced with a common
belief. This new religion was created and spread
by priests, it was based on peace, love and
charity, but also seemed to smell of hero worship
for the new leader. There was a period of relative
prosperity for some, and enough food to survive.
Improved technology that used the internet and
vastly improved mobile data terminals was
deployed. International banking reform was
enacted and electronic money transfers were
made simpler. This technology was spread through
the entire world and was used to replace paper
money and a world wide electronic currency was
setup as the standard. Everybody from all
countries would use this currency instead of

whatever they used before.

Unrest.

There were so many criminals that used the chaos

of the war and the food shortages to make a fast
buck. The new banking system was a bonanza for
the hackers, virus makers, phishing scammers, ID
thieves, and credit / debit card forgers etc. So a
new Identification system that could not be stolen,
forged, hacked, or tampered with was needed.

Many religious groups were not pleased with the

suppression of their organizations and the
confiscation of their group’s property. They
demonstrated but were met with severe reprisals
and their legal maneuvers were tied up the courts.
Only some Christians seemed to have an impact on
many of the common people. New preachers
seemed to pop up everywhere and then vanish
when the police came to arrest them. The internet
was full of opposition to the new leader, so an
electronic warfare system of snooping, blocking,
and filtering replaced the free exchange of ideas
with propaganda, like what happened in China and
Iran years before.

The religious system from the new leader was not

tolerant to competition or patient with unbelievers.
The priests of this new religion could perform
miracles and a powerful high priest rose up that
could do wonderful things. The first thing the new
high priest did was to plunder the remnant of the
Catholic Church and destroy Rome. Then he
proclaimed the leader a god.
The leader was hurt by an assassin but he

recovered he lost the use of an eye and an arm.

Since he recovered from the deadly attack he was
declared resurrected like Jesus. Now everyone
should worship him as a god.

Technology.

Then a new technology was perfected, this was a

direct brain interface to the internet. The brain
was mapped with a learning program, using series
of sensory images and a scanning device that
found where each brain processed each of the
senses and memory, an implant could be
programmed for each person, nanobots would be
positioned at nerve groups in the brain and
transmit to and receive from the implant. The
implant would provide access to the internet;
provide access to all media, including
pornography, directly into the brain. This would
replace cell phones, computers, television, movies,
and libraries. The device could get you high
without drugs, have sex without partners, and the
media gave full sensatory results. You not only
saw and heard as if you were there in full 3D high
definition, you could feel, smell, and taste.
(Remember the movie “Brainstorm”.) Also the
implant would be used to identify each person to
provide an identification that could not be
tampered with. What we did not know was that
many were being changed by this implant and the
leader’s program was being beamed into our brains
along with the media. Our attitude toward the new
leader was changed into worship.

Ecology.

There was disaster after disaster. The bombs also

caused earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcano
eruptions. Radiation and dust spread worldwide.
Many animals died, the crops were contaminated,
and dust in the atmosphere caused climate
changes. Later an asteroid broke up part fell into
the sea, part fell on land. The area around the
impacts were devastated, the water supply was
polluted and undrinkable. The ocean was
devastated and many animals died. An algae bloom
made the sea look like blood. The atmosphere was
so polluted, there was so much dust that the sun
was dimmed during the day and the moon was red
at night. The climate changes caused extreme
storms everywhere. The predictions of global
warming seemed tame compared with this mess.

Forced marking.

The combination of religious unrest, criminal

activity, the new mind altering implant, the revised
economics with electronic currency, and worship
of the leader now lead to the forced implanting of
everyone, they had to have the implant or else. The
or else was economic isolation, starvation,
poverty, being shunned, and being rounded up and
forced to get the implant. People lined up at the
implant centers and most enjoyed the pleasures
from the media provided thru the implants. To
show that an implant was installed a special
tattoo was put on either the hand or forehead.

Those who refused had no way to buy food, have a

job, pay bills, or have access to bank funds. Most
unmarked went underground or fled to the
wilderness. Friends and family would rat them out

for a bounty. Many were rounded up, and then had

a choice of the implant or be locked up in a
concentration camp.

Sacrifice.

The ecological disasters, widespread crop failures,

the contamination and death of food animals, and
unrest caused the cost of food to reach new record
highs. To create food and get rid of all these
criminals and unbelievers, cannibalism was
legalized, but to be done covertly. Why waste all
that meat. But the public would not know that they
were eating each other. The concentration camps
became slaughter house killing plants instead of
using gas chambers and crematoriums. The
unmarked were shown the packing plant, knowing
they would be next. They had to be implanted or
they would end up as meat. Many would rather die
than take the implant, but to be eaten or cooked
alive and then eaten changed many minds. They
were warned to keep quiet as they were
implanted; else they would also end up on the
menu.

With that image I woke up with a start. Then I

started to write this down. What a nightmare.
