Crowd Control Revalidation Training


To maintain your QLD Security Officer Crowd Controller Licence you are required to undertake training in the
following units.
CPPSEC3002A - Manage conflict through negotiation
This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to use effective communication techniques to manage a conflict situation. It requires the ability to assess security risk situations,
accurately receive, interpret and relay information, adapt communication styles and techniques
to varying social and cultural environments, and evaluate responses.
This unit of competency has wide application in the security industry in those roles involving
operational activities. Competency requires legal and operational knowledge applicable to relevant sectors of the security industry. The knowledge and skills described in this unit are to be
applied within relevant legislative and organisational guidelines.

CPPSEC3013A - Control person using empty hand techniques


This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to select and apply appropriate empty hand techniques. It requires
the ability to use force in circumstances where there is a risk to safety of self and others. Competency also requires
knowledge of the procedures for conducting an arrest.
This unit of competency has wide application in the security industry in those roles providing guarding and personal protection activities. Competency requires legal and operational knowledge applicable to relevant sectors of the security industry.
The knowledge and skills described in this unit are to be applied within relevant legislative and organisational guidelines.

HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid


This unit is required for all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including
community and workplace settings.

This course is scheduled to run once every month. It can occur twice a month when the
demand is higher.

Cost:

$250 for all 3 units


$150 for Provide First Aid only
$150 for CPPSEC3002A & CPPSEC3013A only. ($75 per unit)
*Discounts apply for existing MSS Security employees

HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid (2 Day Program)*

*If, upon enrolment, you already have a Provide First Aid Statement of Attainment that is no more than 3 months out of
date, you may be eligible for the 1 Day Provide First Aid Program and would not need to attend the 2 Day Provide First
Aid course.
