Addressable Intelligent Fire Detection and Alarm System is beneficial in many ways and
certainly adds more flexibility, intelligence, speed to identification process. For this reason,
Addressable intelligent Systems are most favored for large premises and more complex system
requirements. In addressable system detectors, call points, sounders are wired around the
building and connected to fire panel. Each device is assigned with a unique address' and
therefore the fire panel is able to display/indicate the precise location of the device in question
hence speeding up the location identification process saving time, life and property.
The Fire panel provides uninterrupted power to the detectors, sounders and all other devices
connected to the loop. It also continuously receives status reports from individual detector
comprising its health, live temperature, presence of smoke along with it's level etc. Based on
collected information, the system provides pre-alarm warnings when smoke/heat levels reach
a pre-set level enabling investigation of fire prior to a full evacuation alarm and fire brigade
signaling. Each alarm sounders have an individual 'address' with which they are triggered
automatically only at those zones where alarming is required leaving the other places
undisturbed. Addressable system is efficient in reporting far more than just fire or fault
conditions, for example panel can signal those smoke detectors that are contaminated with
dust etc. enabling maintenance necessities.
