=======================================================
III.DOCUMENTATION
Game manuals are supplied in PDF format and can be found in the

Doc

folder of the

corresponding Mods directories.

For example, the Su-25T manual is placed into DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Su-25T\Doc
folder.

IV.MULTIPLAYER
Although many improvements and optimizations have been made, we still highly rec
ommend 16 player limit when hosting complex missions. Depending on the exact com
position of the mission, the bandwidth and number of players that a host may acc
ommodate will vary. As always though, clients must be aware of their ping times
(often influenced by connection distance to host) as this can cause warping and
other connection issues.
=======================================================
V.MISSION FILES
The mission file extension *.MIZ is a ZIP archive and can be opened with any arc
hive editing software. A MIZ file will always contain at least the mission and o
ptions lua files. However, it can also contain additional files depending on the
design of the mission, such as briefing images, audio files and avionics system
files that can be included as part of the Prepare Mission function.
User's missions folder C:\Users\<your name>\Saved Games\DCS\Missions

XI.TROUBLESHOOTING FAQ
Q: Why am I having problems installing game on my Vista/Win7 system?
A: On a Vista/Win7 system, run the setup.exe executable as the system administra
tor (right click and select). If you still experience problems, you can try disa
bling Vista's/Win7's User Account Control (UAC) when starting game for the first
time.
Q: Why does the sim return to desktop when loading a mission?
A: The GUI and the game engine are separate entities and you are seeing the simu
lation switch from one to the other. There are two reasons for this: 1) shutting
down the GUI prior to game start frees up more resources for the game engine an
d 2) the GUI is written on new technology that is not yet backwards-compatible w
ith the game engine.
Q: Why is the trim response reversed on the Microsoft Force Feedback 2 joystick?
A: This is a peculiarity of the device. Normal axis functionality can be restore

d by checking the Swap Axes checkbox in the "FF Tune" panel of the Controls set-up
window in the game options.
Q: The sim does not respond to keyboard commands and I cannot un-pause the sim.
I m unable to save and restore my joystick profiles.
A: If you are running NewView, this is probably the source of the problem. You n
eed to either Alt-Tab out and back into the sim or rename the NewView folder pri
or to starting the sim.
Please, do not use Windows hotkeys (such a Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V etc.) in Save and Load
Profile dialogs - it may result to load incorrect profile.
Q: I've loaded next mission of campaign, but suddenly changed my mind and exited
to GUI without unpausing the game. As the result I've got suggestion to complet
e previous mission. What should I do?
A: It's campaign design feature.
If You need to exit campaign mission after it's loaded don't do this at once. Un
pause mission and wait not less than one second from its start. After time passe
d You can safely exit mission.
Q: 'I still have
A: Please try to
aming the Config
ur Input-profile

problems with my keyboard / joystick' what should I do?

reset your Keyboard / Joystick configuration by deleting or ren
folder in 'C:\Users\you\Saved Games\DCS'. This way you reset yo
to defaults.
