. Application
The machine is applied to laminating tow base materials into one
layer of laminated materials of specific performance. The general process:
to coat glue evenly on one film firstly; the glue solvent on the film
volatilizes in the oven; then to press the other film to the film out of the
oven and get the laminated materials.
The machine is especially suitable for the ganoid film without
enough extrusion fastness, such as aluminum foil, cellophane and
polyamide and etc. Laminated film holds the merits of high intensity,
waterproof, anti ventilation, anti oil, freezable, steam boiling and etc.
Products are extensively applied to packaging frozen food, dehydrated
food, pharmaceuticals and daily commodity.

.Main structure and principles


The machine is mainly made up of first unwinding and glue coating
device, drying oven, traction mechanism, second unwinding and
laminating device, rewinding device, mechanical transmission, electric
control, automatic temperature control and frequency control and etc.
1Unwinding part
Materials roll is fixed in the unwinding shaft by tow taper sleeves.
Hand wheel can move axial direction of unwinding shaft. Because of
screw thread of taper sleeve, installing position of one taper sleeve with
screw thread needs more attention. The correct position: to view base
materials from one taper sleeve with screw thread; base materials is
unwinded at right direction of rotation; conversely, while unwinding, the
taper sleeve will be loosened and can not be fixed firmly (air-expansion
shaft is selective).

The machine is equipped with three sets of unwinding shaft and


taper sleeve. While tow of them is working, another set can be installed in
advance. Stop the machine and connect the previous roll end to the latter
roll head by gummed paper and then the machine can continue working
(air-expansion shaft is selective).
2Glue spreading part
It is made up of push roller and mesh roller. Push roller and
corresponding rubber roller hold the first unwinding film and go on glue
spreading smoothly.
Downside half part of mesh roller is dipped into glue tray. During
rotation of the glue tray, the glue will be extruded and transferred to the
rubber roller. As the unwinding film clings closely to the rubber roller
surface, the glue will be coated to the film. Glue spreading by Mesh roller
and scraper is selective.
Pressure, which tow ends of rubber roller extends to mesh roller, and
gap size between tow ends of rubber roller and mesh roller determine the
thickness and equality of glue.
3Drying oven part
The oven is in arch. It is divided into three segments for heating and
heating pipe is distributed evenly in the oven. Temperature of each
segment can be controlled automatically. While glue coated film is
walking through the surface of a group of running guide rolls, the glue

solvent will be volatilized as well as be discharged out of the room by


tow groups of exhaust fan fixed at the tow ends respectively.
4Laminating part
This part is made up of laminating steel roller, with surface chrome
plated and oil heating inside, and pressing rubber roller, where films from
first unwinding and second unwinding are pressed and heated to
adherence. The surface temperature of laminating steel roller is automatic
controlled.
5Rewinding part
This part is applied to rewind the laminated film. While working,
adjusting magnetizing current of magnetic powder clutch can change
rewinding force.
6Mechanism transmission
Both parts of glue spreading and laminating adopt tow motors
respectively for independent driving. Glue spreading part is decelerated
through first step belt by 0.75kw asynchronous AC motor. The motor
drives mesh roller running by magnetic powder clutch, a group of chain
wheel and a group of gear. Adjusting magnetizing current of magnetic
powder clutch can bring the linear speed of mesh roller surface
correspondence with laminating roller and keep a certain tension.
Laminating part is driven by cycloidal pinwheel reduction box (with
motor). The box drives laminating roller running through a group of chain

wheel and drives cooling steel roller running through a group of chain
wheel and gear. At the same time, the box drives rewinding shaft and
guide rolls in the oven running. The linear speed of each roll is in
agreement basically.

.Operating instruction
1Before operating the machine, operators should read operation
instruction seriously and be familiar with and understand operating
method and the function of every part.
2Before the operation, make sure every part wiped up and dropped
lubricating oil. Check the machine thoroughly ensuring nothing loosening
and dropped off and no extraneous matter before opening machine.
3Walking route of base materials is according to the arrowhead in
the flow chart of operation instruction. There should be no wrinkle in
the base materials itself.
4If nothing special, the machine should be started slowly and
stopped by reducing speed. While base materials are unwinding, the
tension should the proper. If too small, there will be sideling wrinkle. If
too large, there will be lengthways wrinkle. It is special important to keep
harmonious tension between tow base materials rolls to avoid film of tow
layers bending because of different tension. As rewinding force
influences the tension, the force should be increased properly while the

rewinding roll becomes larger (Adjusting magnetizing current of


magnetic powder clutch).
Besides, it is also important to keep base materials walking tidily
and smoothly. That will adjust each roller for deviation rectification to
import or export left and right after unwinding and when laminating. It
can eliminate declinate wrinkle. Besides, each nonparallel fixed roller
will make wrinkle. So it needs adjustment immediately.
5Mesh roller and rubber roller are forbid speckling with oil. Before
operation, free-running mesh roller makes rubber roller coated a layer of
glue evenly. Both rollers are also forbid speckling with dry and hard
gluewater. Otherwise, it should be melted by rotating the glue tray and
scrubbed by solvent before operation, but scraping by edge tool is forbid.
6The machine needs regular adjusting axial location of unwinding
shaft. When one film roll is about to be finished, operator just decelerate
and stop the machine and exchange another roll. Connect tow films by
pressure-sensitive tape and continue working.
7When mesh roller needs changing running direction, operator just
need to operate reverse button of glue spreading motor.
8Each oven segment temperature control and laminating speed
matching as well as glue prescription influence laminating fastness of
products directly. If the temperature is high, the speed can be high
accordingly. The crucial point is to ensure the solvent in the oven

volatilizes fully. The glue prescription varies with different base materials.
But it is the best glue that should be stirred fully and available on tap.
Solvent consistency varies with different weather. Laminated products
need curing of 48 hours to ensuring fastness.
9The rubber roller of this machine is applied to ethyl acetate.

.Installation and testing


1Installation place requirement
The machine installation needs no grounding, but it should be
installed on the substantial and even running concrete surface. The plant
should be ventilative. If there is no exhaust equipment, the client should
equip exhaust pipe and discharge exhaust gas out of the room.
2Installation
Lift the whole machine on 8 adjustable iron mat (put each foot of
base frame on one iron mat respectively). Adjust iron mat and keep the
machine level (at the upside of laminating steel roller and steel roller
before glue spreading roller, nonlevelness should be less than 0.1/1000).
It is ok to keep ground contact pressure even between each iron mat and
base frame.
After installation of mechanical parts, link electric apparatus circuit of
drying oven part. Then connect the plant power supply and air supply to
the machine. It is worth noting in particular that the machine must be

reliable ground.
3Machine testing
Firstly, pour conduction oil into laminating steel roller (big roller),
30 L for 600 model, 40 L for 800 model and 50 L for 1000model. Then
wipe up the machine and drop lubricating oil on every adjustable part and
running part, making each handle flexible. Move motor belt wheel
manually. No clamping stagnation after rotation, connect power supply.
Start the machine slowly and accelerate it after no abnormal phenomena.
Finally, go on electric system testing (referring to the first section of the
principle and instruction of electric system)

.Maintenance
1Both mesh roller and laminating roller are main working part.
After working every day, they should be wiped up without glue spotted. If
there is dry and hard glue, it should be scrubbed by solvent, no edge tool.
2When running, drop engine oil on the transmission chain, chain
wheel and guide roll bearing in the oven 23 times/shift. After working,
the machine should be wiped up. Drop engine oil on each exerted
adjustable screw and glide plane after wiping them up. Drop certain
lubricating oil on running exposed gear surface 23 times every day. Fill
several drops into the inner side of pitch pocket at tow ends of rubber
roller.

3While working, stop the machine for checking immediately once


finding any abnormal noise

2Control procedure
Close automatic air switch (outside the machine) and open power
supply. While adjust electronic regulator set button according to the
requirement of temperature in the oven, press SA1 and switch on control
loop power, and then switch on SA2SA3SA4 in sequence. Afterward,
heating equipment runs and controls temperature automatically. When the
oven and laminating steel roller reach the set temperature, electronic

regulator will cut heating power automatically and immediately the main
motor equipment will be started at low speed and the machine start
working. Rotation of frequency conversion handle can regulate
laminating stepless speed. The tension is controlled by tension regulator.
Pressing SB1 or SB3 after decelerating the speed of main motor can stop
the machine. If meeting sudden failure, just press urgent button.
3Matters need attention
The machine must be reliable ground.
Hot-air equipment and steel roller heater should be checked
regularly
