and arrange their chairs)
(Student will take their seat)

Im glad to tell you nobody is absent today.

Thank you, Rosemarie.

B. Review/Drill
Last time, we discussed about the
fundamental operations of mathematics.
And we learned that, we have ___
(blank) operations.
Correct!
(the teacher will give Smiley Chips to
his/her students and it will serves as
their recitation for those who will get
the answer correctly)
And what are those operations?

Sir, I learned that we have four (4)

Fundamental Operations in mathematics.

Lets see if you really understood the
lesson by recalling the corresponding
symbols and its meaning through
engaging activity.

are addition, subtraction, multiplication and

division.

Yes Sir!

Lets do the review on the form of

LEARNING IS FUN!

Repeat the Golden word: LEARNING

Yes Sir.

Our topic is exciting Sir.

All you need to do is, identify if it is

under Addition, Subtraction,
Multiplication or Division by putting
the words/symbols which represent
such operations.
The winner will gain smiley chips with
10 points in their recitation. The faster,
the winner.

Very well said, Sir.

(Each group will be given pieces of

paper with words/symbols written on
them. They will be asked to arrange the
words/symbols in order to identify if it
is under Addition, Subtraction,
Multiplication or Division)
Ex. When we say, product?
It is under? What?

Sir, it is under Multiplication.

C. Motivation
Part 1: PictuART Game
Okay, very good class.
Thank you for the participation, and
please let us give a Spartan Clap to
the Group (winner).
Clap, clap, clap
Tramp, tramp, tramp
Ahoooh! Ahoooh!

Clap, clap, clap

Spartan Clap
Now, that you already know the four
fundamental operations of mathematics.
I think, you are ready to our next
activity.
But for now, lets play a game. Our
game is entitled, PictuART games.
Are you familiar with 4 pics 1 word?

Yes Sir!

How to play the game?

I will read the instructions.
On this game, we only need one (1)
actor/actress.
In choosing actor/actress, lets do it in
the form of music.
When the music starts, I will give the
ball in the class and it will be passed
around.
Pass the ball to your classmate next to
you.
When the music stops, the students with
the ball will be the actor/actress.

Alright Sir.

The chosen actor/actress will act the

word regarding with the pictures on the
slide presentation.
The whole class must guess the word
with the help of slide presentation and
their actor/actress.
Are my instructions clear, Class?
Then, lets play the game!

Now, lets see what is the purpose of
this game and how is it related to our
main topic for today
So, we have the last activity for today.
In order for us to know the relevance of
this game to our main topic.
Are you ready to participate?
But before that, I want you to go back
to your group.
Same group, meaning we have four
groups right?
We have flash cards with me containing
letters with problem operations. Each
group has a task cards/concept notes
about the rules on how to solve the
problems.
Each group must solve the problem on
the flash cards and arrange/form a word
from the lowest to highest number of
your answers within 10 minutes.

Yes Sir!
Always ready

The first group that finished the activity

will shout a yell within their Group.
(After posting flash cards on the board,
the teacher will choose students in the
group to discuss/explain their activity
work provided with his/her guide
questions)
So, lets do this!

3. After knowing the word,

prepare a yell (one word
only) for your group.
4. You have 10 minutes to
solve the problem.
5. The winner will get
Special Price + smiley
chips (10 pts. Recitation)

D. Lesson Proper
Alright! You formed the 19 letters into a
word. Congratulations Group (1, 2, 3,
4) you are the winner at this time. You
will get special price + smiley chips
which are equivalent to 10 pts.
Recitation.
Lets give Spartan Clap to the Group
(1,2,3,4)

(Students shouted because they won)

Yeheeey!

Clap, clap, clap

Tramp, tramp, tramp
Ahoooh! Ahoooh!
(Student will present their activity regarding
their activity work)

(Teacher Guide Questions)

1. What have you notice to your

activity?
Youre right!
(the teacher will give smiley chip)
2. How you derive with your answer?
Very good!
(the teacher will give smiley chip)
3. How will you define integer?

Yes, you are correct. Thank you.

(the teacher will give smiley chip)

(Only the winner group will explain their

work by the guide-questions prepared by their
teacher)
Our topic for today is all about Operations of
Integer.

We follow the rules in solving problem

operations.

Integer are positive and negative whole

number
Integers are the set of whole numbers and
their opposites.

(The Teacher will post the four

Operations of Integer on the board)
CHART
Addition/ Subtraction (same
rules)
Rule 1: Same sign Add = Sign of
number
Rule 2: Unlike sign Subtract = Sign
of biggest number
Multiplication/Division (same
rules)
Rule 1: Same sign = Positive sign
Rule 2: unlike sign = Negative sign

(the teacher will show examples of

operations of Integer in Addition and
Subtraction)
Addition/ Subtraction Rules
Rule 1:
A. 7+ 3 = 10
B. -3 - 4 = -7
Rule 2:
A.7+ (-3) = 4
B. -25+ 5= -20
We have 3 steps in solving subtraction
of integers.
(1) Identify the sign of the subtrahend,
(2) Change the sign of the subtrahend to
its opposite sign; and
(3) Same sign just add, unlike sign just
subtract.
Multiplication/Division Rules
Rule 1:
A. (-2)(-3) = 6
(2)(3) = 6
B. 12/4 = 3
-12/-4
Rule 2:
A. (-22)(2) = -44
B. 12/-4 = -3

Amazing, now we learned a lot for todays

discussion Sir.

(Teacher will ask students for how

answers derived in the given example)
What do you think the rules used in
every operations of integers?
(Teacher will ask students if they
understand the rules and will give other
examples to be answer by the students.)
Okay, class. Can you give another
example to be answer by your
classmate?
You are now ready to become Math
Wizard!

Addition/Subtraction
Rule 1: Same sign Add = Sign of number
Rule 2: Unlike sign Subtract = Sign of biggest
number
Multiplication/Division (same rules)
Rule 1: Same sign = Positive sign
Rule 2: unlike sign = Negative sign
Yes Sir.
(3) (-4) =?
6+ (-31) =?
-5 - (-7) =?
Hahahaha! Thank you Sir.

(Every recitation of students have chips and complement from the class through clap for
them to be active in class)
E. Generalization
Now let us have a quick wrap up of our
discussion using the 4-3-2-1 CHART
